hey chunk, i know this is like HELLA early, but im trying to get a head count. Are you going to be going down to evo with us and staying in our room? I want to get everyone confirmed by july, and u are the one furthest from salinas, so i want to get u confirmed or not even earlier. The room is gonna cost $264 for the days we are staying, i already reserved it. If u are gonna be staying with us, i wont know how much it is gonna cost until i have a full head count. But last year with the number of people that went, we had a cost of $22-25 per person for the room. right now i have 5 people confirmed to go, well, i havent actually spoken to erik and verified but he said he was gonna drive. If getting to salinas is gonna be hard, i should be able to get u. Let me know whats up, no rush at the moment, just wanted to give u the 411. Just get back to me sometime next month. Ill see u before then i know, but it will undoubtedly slip out minds. Also, if i need to get u i want to have a car lined up, i randomly lose my vehicles when i need them. (i.e i wreck :mad: if u didnt know i crash a lot :bluu: , tires are too worn out and i have no money to replace them :lame: , or the car breaks down

magus, im assuming ffa is family fun arcade in so cal, and if thats the case its pretty far down there, figure i was told from where evo was last year it was another hr or so south i think. it took about 5+hrs to get to cal poly pamona, so maybe 6 or 7 hrs away, i could be damn wrong though. i just know its pretty far down there. hmm, that didnt help much, but its at least some kind of perspective.

Hey Andry. You seriously going to FFA this weekend? I’ve never been there but I think it’s in Burbank or somewhere around the L.A. area. I’m guessing it would take around 5.5 hours driving with a couple stops since it takes me about 7 hours to drive to Irvine which is farther down south.

Sup all, quick question about SVGL I was hoping someone can help me with. Last time I was there Daniel or Russell mentioned that there’s a token special on Tuesday or Thursday or something. Can someone let me know what day that is? And given the token special, what’s the best day to play (i.e. with the most competition) – token day or Saturday?

token specials: tuesday evening (5:30 - 8 i think?) and saturday morning (9-10 or something early in the morning)
usually the most competitive times are tue and friday nights.

I’m holding a tournament on June 19th for MvC2, CvS2, 3S and GGXX at Regency Fun Center in Lakewood CA(So Cal). Just wondering if anyone was interested in coming. Best competition in So Cal will definitely be there and hopefully Vegas and Arizona.

On saturday they opened up the 3s machine and doubled the price while we all were expecting free play, so I’m guessing our relationship isn’t too strong.
Um no they didn’t, and alot of the ppl who work there are friends with alot of ppl on these boards. If we asked nocely we could make it happen, really it depends on sales
soul calibur 2 is a cool game and all but i really highly doubt its making more money than 3S… so hopefully we can convince the management to change it around or something. For all 3s players if you can just ask the management and see if they’ll do it. Another thing is those 3s machines are so cramped next to the other machines its horrible. Another reason why the big cabinet would be cool.

Considering the people who play SC2 competitively started playing elsewhere a long time ago, and even the random little birthday party kids and Conquest n00bs have moved on, I think that 3s (or GGXX!) has a pretty good chance of getting on the showcase cabinet.
