That would be a very bad business decision, and a shame.
If taking 3s away is part of the warning, it really isn’t accomplishing anything except alienating the players who really don’t have anything to do with this whole conflict. People seem to think that the managers are just bluffing, but with neither MGL nor SVGL in a hurry to bring 3s back, I think that they’re quite serious about this.
Also, everyone seems to believe that the managers getting rid of the fighters would hurt the arcade’s business when it’s really the opposite. Yes, the three core fighters (Marvel, CVS and 3s) paid themselves off a long time ago (with Tekken probably turning a profit soon), but SVGL could easily use the fighting aisle’s space for more racing and music games and turn a much larger profit in a fraction of the time. Think about this for a second. In the time it takes for us to play 4 matches of a fighter (around 4 to 6 minutes), SVGL makes one dollar while they’ve made almost triple that in the same time period from just Maximum Tune alone.
The whole “winner stays, loser pays” thing has never been very attractive to arcade owners, and their opinion certainly isn’t going to change with the advent of things like upgrade kits for the racers and music games (a relatively small price to pay to keep the game up to date and keep player interest high while keeping the same high profit margin).
With that said, I think it’s time that people start taking these warnings seriously, stop thinking about this from our view, and look at things from the business perspective, since the only people that will be hurt from this is us unless things change.

Great News everybody! I talked to jason, he’s getting all the fighting games back from MGL tomorrow =]! So 3s is back like cooked crack, cvs2 (small cab), T5, and Small ghey marvel cab! Another good news is, i talked to jason about having 2 big marvel cabs and he said he might do it =D! For all of you who miss svgl, go to this tournament, for the sake of team GOOOOOOOOONIEZ!! If you don’t know who team GOOOOOOONIEZ is, then go fish with woo! hahahahahha. Anyways, i work tomorrow =[. Sucks.
