Thing is, no one in Gabon outside of Sugar actually hated Corinne before the FTC. By the time she was voted out, she had the respect of Matty, Susie, Kenny, and Crystal, they just didn’t trust her because she was in the opposing alliance. She kept most of her bitchiness to her confessionals + Sugar.
From what I’ve heard in interviews, if not for the second swap, it would be a close jury vote between Charlie and Corinne. Apparently people hated Marcus a lot more than what was shown, but Charlie and Corinne were decently liked. I feel like she played one of the better games of Gabon honestly.
Suit yourself, but I’m pretty sure her horrible fakeness would’ve shown through easily. If you want something crazy, if there was no 2nd swap and the Onions came out of the 5-5 tie situation at F10 with the advantage, then Randy actually would’ve had a crazy good shot at winning. He replaced Bob in the alliance and was liked by Marcus, Corinne, Charlie, Kenny, Bob, and Matty. The only people who really hated him were Crystal and Sugar, and Susie didn’t really hate anyone.
I feel like, had they merged at 10, Marcus/Charlie/Corinne/Randy/Bob/Susie would have taken out Kenny/Crystal/Sugar/Matty. Susie only really flipped because she was given a perfect situation to do so and because Marcus got greedy enough to try to pull Crystal into the alliance. With a merge, Marcus has no incentive to pull Crystal in and Susie flipping only offers a 5-5 tie; there’s no incentive to do so.
Matty/Crystal/Ken/Sugar probably go in that order. Bob goes in 6th assuming he doesn’t have immunity. Susie gets 5th. Randy gets 4th. It’s very very likely that Marcus/Corinne/Charlie make the F3, where it’s a close split between Charlie and Corinne. It really depends on how good Corinne does at the FTC more than anything, assuming no one made any major social blunders in the meantime.
But the original point is that Corinne played one of the better games in Gabon, not necessarily the best. I feel like she played better than anyone in her alliance (Charlie was kind of the third wheel strategically, Bob sucked, Marcus was apparently hated), Crystal was bad at the game, and Susie is debatable. Sugar is one of the strangest games in the history of the game and is near-impossible to judge.
I’d rank Gabon’s top players, ignoring placement, as:
Matty > Ken/Corinne > Susie > Charlie > Susie > Randy > Marcus > Bob
As much as I think Matty is pretty boring, he played a great social game and positioned himself pretty well. In basically any other season, Matty wins because Sugar does the logical thing and takes Bob out in the F4.

That’s Corinne. A lot of people hate her because she was pretty obviously playing up her bitchiness to get more airtime, but I actually liked her both as a character and as a player.
Fun fact: Crystal (the track runner) had her gold medal taken away because it was discovered that she had been on steroids.

Uh, apparently from a bunch of stuff and Ken interviews Susie was ALWAYS going to turn on the Onions when she could’ve. And plus, you’re forgetting that Sugar had the Hidden Immunity Idol. If you think she wouldn’t have used it to take out Randy or Corinne if they merged at 10, you’re CRAZY. And there’s no way Bob would’ve gone before Susie barring her winning the F6 Immunity. There’s the debate of whether Kenny would’ve been voted out first over Crystal if the Onions came out on top considering Marcus knowing her cousin, but it’s kind of irrelevant since Kenny would’ve won the Final 8 Immunity challenge again anyway.
I might be wrong on the Susie thing, then, I’ll concede that. But it’s probable that they’d have known about the idol and voted for someone else to try to flush it out. Also, I do think Bob would have been among the first of the Onions to go just because he was an immunity threat. I’ll grant that the Onions might have had a harder path to the end than I had thought, but I think they’d have had a shot at it if not for the second swap.
I mean, the ultimate point is whether or not Corinne would have won in a Charlie/Marcus/Corinne F3, and I feel like she would have.

Yeah, I pretty much caught that Hippochinfat guy admit that the tengaged blog was fake and kinda that he did it. That being said though, Ken actually DID say he’d be busy for the first third of the year so who knows.
