One thing I’d like to point out is that Russell’s strategy is pretty much the same as what Rob Mariano did in Survivor All-stars. They allied with the young innocent girl that they knew would follow them from the get-go. But at the final tribal, they both destroyed any relationships they had with the people the betrayed and couldn’t get the votes.
Yul actually did the something very similar in Cook Islands, but was actually able to salvage votes from the people he voted out. This is quite the feat considering he was up against Ozzy who was a challenge dominator and fan favorite. Difference between Yul and Russell was that Yul had much better social game.
That looked like just a decent and thorough Survivor discussion between two people who enjoy the show and while sometimes disagreeing, respect each others opinions and kept civil about it. I don’t know how having a conversation about Survivor in a Survivor thread and also simultaneously discussing the season counts as hijacking or doing anything wrong.
If you have problems with people discussing Survivor in a topic dedicated to Survivor, you should probably go get some serious mental help. If you had a problem with the specific content being discussed, you could have spoken up, but don’t take the whiny route of acting like people stole your topic because they were discussing things within the boundaries of said topic. That’s just immature.
Seriously, when you guys decided to just post “spoiler tags for half the screen” how the fuck are we suppose to know what the fuck you guys talking about to join the conversation. You guys should have just took it to PM orthis forum. It was like we got the cool kids having fun, making random comments of what happen on the show then BLAM two wannabe knowitalls telling everyone what survivor is about…
The spoiler tags were out of respect for everyone else since they were relating to a future season. While not technically spoilers, some people are sensitive about said issues, so I figured it would be best to give fair warning when posting said info.
I don’t really know why I’m trying to argue with you anyway, given that not only are you talking about the “cool kids” in Survivor-themed thread, but are also repeatedly trying to use “OMG YOU ARE GAY” as an insult like the average 12-year-old.

I find it more odd that people who think raging and overblown trash-talking in tournaments legitimately decide to call two straight men gay and think it’ll offend us or something. Try not to let the trolls get to you too much, dude.
Anyway, Bill was hilarious and would be amazing to hang out with, Colton’s an unbearable racist bitch, the girls were stupid entitled-bitches for thinking they could get fire/shelter and nothing in return, so I don’t blame Jay for saying “we’re taking the canoe out, because that’s what we already agreed on”, and Matt going over Bill is a sigh of relief. Oh, and Troyzan is awesome too.
Wow. I come back to the thread to read all this drama? Yo, I guess it should be noted that just about everyone on SRK likes Russell. Matter of fact I should have made it a rule, “Thou shall not bash Russell Hantz, possibly the greatest ever to play Survivor”.

Anyways, first blindside last week. Not really cool with it, but I think the editors of the show tried to make it seem one way when it wasn’t. Even some of Matt’s crew voted for him.
Sorry if it came across as threadjacking before, that wasn’t my intent. And I found it weird that last week Probst said it was the first blindside, when it seemed pretty clear by how Tarzan, Colton, and Matt were acting that everyone knew Matt was going home. At least, to me.
Yea makes me think there were other deals made not shown on TV.

Good lord, Colton is probably the most absolutely awful person I’ve seen on a reality show (since I don’t watch that VH1 and MTV crap) since that EMT chick that was also a murderer won Big Brother a few years back.
I think that was genuinely the most uncomfortable that a Survivor episode has ever made me. Colton’s racism was…appalling, to say the VERY least. That said, it was also a great episode with fantastic editing, tons of drama, and a vote that kept me guessing until the very end.
I’m mad that the guys went to tribal. That was so dumb. Why couldn’t they just be like “we’ll just continue on as normal and the next time we lose, Leif/Bill go home?”

WTF did I watch last night?
I just saw the dumbest play ever on Survivor. I mean of epic proportions. Why I even bothered watching the episode last night right before I went to bed pissed me off to no end. Who wins immunity then gives it up because someone in the “numbers” alliance trades and gives up viable information??? It’s happened plenty of times before, and just because it happens, everyone pussies up and says, “Hey let’s vote out the traitor”, but instead takes someone else out who’s beneficial to them winning? What I don’t understand is, if you keep winning, you don’t go back to tribal, you have numbers until the merge. Why bother voting off stronger players just because you don’t like them?
Colton is probably on my list for most hated Survivor ever – and I’m talking about hate more than Sandra or Parvarti or any other snake coattail riding broad.
I don’t think I’ve ever been as pissed off at any episode of Survivor like I was when I watched it last night. Truth be told, I’d have been better off ruining it for myself by reading spoilers here or somewhere else rather than watching the show online last night. Total waste of time.
Oh, and did I mention I never thought it was possible that one episode changed my whole outlook on this season? Yeah, I’m that pissed. Anyways, I hope there’s a shakeup on the tribes next week where Colton goes home.
