I notice many are on a -phobe bandwagon, and unless a person is a straight white male, any critical analysis of their behavior is like walking on tightrope, which is assinine and totally regressive. I’ve met shitty, self-involved and ironically racist gay people and I’ve met cool, intelligent gay people; however, it seems like being critical in any way can trigger tumblrites into an uproar. Deifying the gay/trans community doesn’t help of you want to them to be seen as equals in society, neither does treating them like freaks or degenerates.

Take a note that even the scientists criticizing the study, ask if it’s worth it because a biological basis for sexual orientation has already been, basically, established. So I believe your statement that all the science supports your “nurture” theory is inaccurate.

I disagree. The only thing i’ve seen about science proving homosexuality is chosen at birth is from internet articles. From all the gay’s i’ve known and been close friends with, all of them told their stories on why they are gay and all of them were deeply rooted due to how they were raised. Our sexuality develops after age 8 or so… that is what i remember learning back in grade 4. I think the whole “homosexuals were born that way” is a load of bullshit brainwashing done by the media so that the masses can think of homosexuality like a race instead of a behavior/lifestyle… but i know allot will think this is wrong because of too much google.
