Racist bastards!
Good episode, had it all really violence, a hot chick in a cheerleader outfit, humor and advanced the story some.
How so?
Zombie/Ghost/Demon orgy
[details=Spoiler] You talking about the black angel constantly calling people monkeys? Or the fact that Dean “punked” him in the motel?
Either way, I liked Uriel. Son was like “fuck this town” and was consistently like “Fuck you nigga” to both of the Winchesters. I hope we get to see more of him down the line. An old testament angel in the form of a black dude is not a bad thing to have on this show IMO. [/details]
I actually had to leave the room around the time Sam and Uriel had their talk, was it just a warning about his powers or did he do or say something noteworthy?
Hell yeah! That dude was channeling some pure human hate right there. Damn!
However, that whole conversation in the hotel fucked all of Sam’s perceptions up. The rest of this season is going to be great.

Hey said that the only reason Sam is alive is because he’s useful. The moment that stops happening, he’ll personally turn him to dust. And he said, “Ask Dean what Hell was like”[/details]
^^
Ah, I figured as much.
And I guess with what Uriel said and the way Dean was staring at that one mask, it means what fear hallucination of Lilith said of Dean remembering hell was actually true.
Gabriel is usually the human hater. How interesting.
Also still just a lower angel. The archangels when they appear will be incredible.
YO MAN, FUCK, THIS SHOW IS SO FUCKING GOOD. MY PEOPLES, TELL ME WHY HEROES SUCKS SO MUCH, BUT THIS SHIT IS POPPIN RIGHT NOW. i aint no supernatural fiend, but i have kept up with all the seasons, and this shit just is to good
Uriel should be an archangel. The seven archangels are Jegudiel, Gabriel, Selaphiel, Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Barachiel (I always thought Metatron was also one because he gets to sit next to God, but I guess he isn’t).
I guess he isn’t one on this show, though.
Damn, I love this show!!!
I hope they eventually go into just how powerful Sam can really be. I mean, if he was able to take that demon out (and he wsa no pussy, either), lord only knows what else he is gonna be able to do. Granted, I doubt he’ll be able to take an angel down, but still…
The boys NEED to get that Colt back. I mean, the knife is good and all, but the basic flaw for it is that you have to sneak up and get super close to someone to use it. Most of the time the boys have done it, it is through sheer luck. 99% of the time, the demons get the drop on them, lol. I mean, can you see either of them EVER stabbing Lilith?
The angels on the show were really awesome, though. Need them on more often…
I’m kinda glad the focus of the season seems to be a bit more on Dean than Sam. I love them both, but it seems like Dean deserves the spotlight this year. Season 1 and 2 were more Sam centered, season 3 was a bit more Dean, and this one Dean seems to be a more prominent figure, especially after tonight’s episode. Not to mention, is Dean a lot funnier this season? I mean, his response after Sam telling him about hte jailbait was priceless  Yeah, I am glad they chose him of all people to be an agent of God
Only in modern times he was always a cherub in most fiction
the thing I liked most about this last episode is it finally shows a negative effect to Sam using his powers.
Also the final conversation between Castiel and Dean was done perfectly imo.
We knew about those headaches when we first learned he was exploiting it. It’s just that the finally went against a demon that took some effort.
Also pretty sure had sam not used the power the angels would have been sent in to help him or something dean would have saved him. Sam basically damned himself going down the wrong path.
I’m pretty sure Sam at the time didn’t think that the angels would come to save him given his encounter with them and felt he had no choice, and that Dean may have been busy…since he was going against a powerful demon like that. He’s trying to be less relient on Dean.
Were his eyes turning black when he was using his power?
I doubt the angels would have lifted a finger to help Sam.
Dean they probably would have done something about, but I don’t think even Castiel likes Sam that much, given how hesitant he was to even shake Sam’s hand.
Geese Pants: The color of his eyes were difficult to see but I think they were black when he put his hand on his forehead and blood started flowing from his nose.
Oh hey that cheerleader witch girl was Abbie on Days of Our Lives. Dean played Eric on Days of Our Lives, Sami’s twin brother. LOL hello from the Soap Opera Appreciation Thread.
Good season so far. I liked Dean’s “Eye of the Tiger” bit 2 episodes ago.
yeah but forced bleeding is a little bit more serious than a headache…
Perhaps I should have been more specific, first major physical negative side effects.
You are just making that up. Uriel was generally accepted as the fourth, unnamed archangel in the Hebrew Bible, and he was added to the Christian Gnostics by Pope Gregory I, who became the pope in 590 AD. That is not “modern times.”
As well, Cherubim guard the Tree of Knowledge and can never leave their post (similar to how Seraphim guard the throne of God), so you are just making up that cherub bullshit too.
Anyway, I wonder what the limit on Sam’s power is right now. It seems like he isn’t strong enough to take out top tier demons yet.
I kept thinking Sam was going to turn bad in this episode for some reason. When he said “yea, that beam thing. Doesn’t work on me” I thought he was going to take out that guy lickity split.
And then when He was talking to Uriel I thought he was going to kill him and wounded up getting told. I really liked this episode though.
Great episode its good that the series is going back to the main plot
Next week ep looks like a trickster ep
