The show is bound to lose some cast members with the move to Canada. If it moves or not, I feel the smartest thing to do is reduce the number of episodes in the season. It make it 13 episodes.
If the show doesnât move to Canada there may be no show. Moving to Canada makes sense. It saves cost, keeps the show on the air, and makes crossovers far more easy to produce.
Even with the move to Canada, the show drops a lot of money on special effects. I doubt theyâll go the Smallville route to save money. Keeping the episode count short can help with that.
Itâs hilarious how people lose their shit about the so called âwhitewashingâ, however black actors being constantly cast to play originally white characters is perfectly fine for some reason.
Well, itâs not. Please TV/movies/whatever, stay true to the original characters or gtfo.
I donât care about a black/white/asian/whatever Jimmy Olsen. I really couldnât give a shit, although having the classic Jimmy would be nice.
The actor and the role they gave him in S1 is just fucking horrid. Itâs like, letâs make this guy everything the antithesis of Jimmy and then shoehorn him into a love pentagon and let that be his only fucking reason to exist. Characters like this need die off.
Right on. Im sure they will move production to canada to cut back on cost, while still maintaining the quality we expect from the show, and with some writing adjustments, they can easily manipulate the budget to fit just fine. The show was shot in cali, which is ridiculous cost wise.
Im guessing it will still take the monday slot, since cw has nothing i watch for mondays.
It was already competing with gotham before, and on average had double the viewers gotham had. lol. So what now. It also averaged more viewers when on cbs than the flash. Even if only half of supergirls viewers came over to the CW, it would still barely be losing to the flash on its WORST days, and dominate arrow, legends of tomorrow, and gotham. On supergirls best days, even if it only brought half its viewers to the CW, it would still beat the flash by like a million viewers almost.
Iâm sure DC donât want the shows that they produce to compete with each other. That doesnât help them at all. The move to the CW can fix that problem. Since the CW is a small network it will be doing Arrow, Flash and Legends numbers from now on. CBS availability is huge compare to the CW and thatâs why show pulled those numbers.
HUH? They dont want shows they produce to compete with each other? They already do. Lucifer is on the same night as supergirl. Supergirl is on the same night as gotham. All the others naturally compete, even if on different days.
Compete in what? Youre not making any sense.
Yes, CW is a cable channel, and cbs is not. But do you honestly believe double the amount of viewers than the flash tuned in for supergirl just because of their unrelenting love for CBS, or they just enjoyed the show. Constantine was on fox, and only did the flash numbers. Lucifer is on NBC, and only does flash numbers. As if all the people over the age of 50 with digital tuners who can watch cbs for free are like, i cant wait to tune into that supergirl show. lol
This notion that the CW is this small, low budget network is stupid. Its the fucking sister network for CBS for christ sakes, and has all the shows that teenagers and 20 somethings love. From vampires to comic books, to football dramas. lol. Had a great run with the top model shit back in the day. lol. Hell, just look at the cgi they used for king shark TWICE this season.
People just enjoy supergirl. Just because you dont doesnt mean anything. I enjoyed constantine, and compared to the flashâs ratings, it did the exact same, and better than the current season of arrow, but it got canned, and was essentially thrown to the wayside.
You act like WB chose the nights and timeslots their shows air. The networks do that not them. You got your networks crossed. Constantine aired on NBC and Lucifer is on Fox
Yes, the CW is a small network. They are a cable channel that provides 10 hours of original programming on prime time five nights a week. Thatâs garbage compared to a large network like CBS that airs original programming for 3 hours a night on prime time 6 nights a week. Itâs not a sister network to CBS. They co-own it with the WB.
Nigga, I havenât seen Supergirl since the pilot. Thereâs nothing for me to dislike yet. I just donât delude myself into thinking the showâs numbers has nothing to do with the network itâs on. If Flash and Arrow were on CBS they were get those similar numbers because a box with tin foil and digital tuner has access to CBS.
So you think that loyalty to cbs, and old people with digital tuners is the only reason supergirl has had double the flash numbers for its first season?
Also, what the fuck are you talking about. Its a sister network to CBS. Do you even know what a sister network is? LOL. You can just simply type cw, and google tells you its a sister network to cbs. You can type cw sister network, and wiki tells you that, along with a bunch of other sites, but who cares to argue that.
**Like i said, even if supergirl only brought over half of her fans because of cbs loyalty, or a bunch of people who only have digital tuners. The show still on its worst day is the flash on its best day. It will do just fucking fine. **
Nigga has an opinion on supergirls ratings, and its ability to maintain its numbers. But has never the seen the show. Your doubts are unfounded. âIt cant be because people enjoyed it, because i havent seen the show. Its only because its on cbs, and all the people with digital tuners can watch it for freeâ.
Got nothing to do with loyalty. CBS is one of the four big networks. If your TV gets a digital signal then it has access to CBS. The channel is more available in homes across the country than the CW. Supergirl can get big numbers because itâs available to more people. Itâs not gonna maintain those numbers on a network that doesnât have CBS reach like the CW.
