And yea that IS kinda fucked up Kate had to commit manslaughter to become the chosen one. I feel like there couldve been a better way to get her to that point
But maybe that IS the point, murdering her cousin (albeit an alternate version) HAS to have some long term effects on Kate’s psyche down the line, definitely some good material can be mined there

She beat him in a straight up fight. They’ve cucked him pretty hard. Any time Kara faces a villain that Superman has, they always remark how she did a better job defeating them.They aren’t subtle at all.

How are you guys feeling the redesign Supergirl costume? I Miss the skirt. Kingdom Come Supes with the red underpants. Supes ditched that lame no underpanta New 52 look a while back. Tighten up, show!
I commented in The Flash thread about Bruce being too far gone to be a paragon. They took a dump on the chracter to boost Kate. CW is wearing that feminist agenda on their sleeves.
yeah it’s quite disappointing. One of the only reasons to watch Supergirl imo was the hotness…and they went the extra mile to make her costume a sexless bore, visually speaking. At least the girls themselves on CW still look good. Her big sis (who they just seemingly decided was lesbo a few seasons ago) still looks great too, despite her new, slightly more “butch” hairstyle.
On their depiction of Superman— I was just explaining this to my Dad earlier, and he got a good laugh out of it. Actual lines of Superman dialogue, just off the top of my head:
- “You’re so much stronger than me, Kara…”
- “maybe the world doesn’t need me anymore…because they have you now.”
- “…always gotta 1up me, eh?”
CW…about as subtle as a box of live grenades going off.
Oh and one of the youtubers I like watching brought it up the other day—so when Batwoman threatens The Atom; the scene is kind of a joke but come on— this guy who is nearly twice her size (and really; most people probably are…she seems quite tiny) AND has a superior high-tech “super-suit” on at the time…backs off like she could really do something to him? Bruh it reminds me of the scenario when an adult just kinda plays along with a kid’s “tough-guy hero” act, because hey…this is just a kid having fun roleplaying right now
