What time are we trying to set up on saturday? Also as discussed to DGV i don’t mind lugging flat screen crts if you guys would rather play on a non-stretched 4•3 display. I know the widescreen stretching can fuck with spacing sometimes.
I’d like to have the tournaments ready to go at 6pm or earlier depending on everyone’s schedule, but I don’t want to put anything into stone until I know that DGV is available on the 3rd and 10th to bring the setups.

I’m down for an old character only tournament. Not going to lie, the first words I thought of when I read this was “TIGER UPPERCUT”
Well, the rule would be that you have to play your character, but you can only use the old version; essentially the tournament would be character-locked (sorry Paro-Da). Maybe we can do the whole pick two characters thing, but you can only have old characters, and your first choice must be your main.

so that means you’d have to use O.Deejay? Ouch. Actually I think it’d be pretty interesting if o.sagat and akuma weren’t used, it’d be a really oddball tourney.
Yea, O.Jay is kinda difficult to use. I was using him the other night just to force myself to find different ways to get around my problem areas with my character (lost A LOT). As for O.Sagat, I can’t ban them cause Crayons and Danny use Sagat exclusively, those cheaters (lol just kidding Crayons). Akuma is banned for life unless Papercut plays him.

I was switching so much because I had no confidence in getting crouching shoryu’s like I can on that magical Hrap.
O. Ken I guess, but yeah I like the whole OG tournament idea run that whenever and ill sign up.
Since I play o characters, would I be forced to use the new versions?
Nope. We’re basically playing Super Street Fighter 2: New Challengers
I get the feeling DG&V had a hand in orchestrating this. 
Probably, I know how much he hated supers when ST first came out, lol.
Actually I think it’s a pretty good idea, it’ll help all of us keep it down to basics without relying on supers. You can’t spell fundamentals without fun.

Here are the rules:
- Only Old characters can be used (SSF2)
- You MUST pick two characters (Old version only).
- One of the characters MUST be your main character (Old version).
- You may switch to your secondary character or stay with your main character after losing.
- O.Gief glitch is NOT banned.
- Winner must stay with his or her main character.
- No Akuma lol.
Everything else is as usual ($2 entry, double-elim, 2/3 matches).

It’d be nice if he joined up! He came through for last weeks Thanksgiving tournament, but he left before the tourney could start (signed up and everything). Hopefully we’ll see him on one of the Saturday tournaments if not this upcoming WNF.
