Super Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition "S" - Now Available!

graphics card wont have anything to do with it. Only the chipset/cpu/available driver functionality would.

so whether u have nvidia or ati graphics, it doesnt matter

hey , on the ps3 s stick, is the home button supposed to be backlit or what? if so how do you activate it?

Street Fighter IV
Q: My PS3 Arcade FightStick (TE and Standard) or PS3 FightPad is not working on my computer.
A: The PS3 SFIV TE/SE FightStick and FightPad does not officially support the PC, but should work with PCs that do not make use of a NVIDIA chipset. If a workaround is discovered, we will post more information for you here.

This is from the older sticks (one of which I have) which doesn’t work on my computer just as the problem above states.

^that’s referring to NVIDIA motherboard chipset (e.g. 680i, 780i, etc)

I’ll be at Final Round XIII tomorrow!

Special promo deal on all fighting game products on the Mad Catz web store!

Also, special promo deal/discount on the SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV FightPads and new Tournament Edition “S” FightStick!

Stay tuned for more info! <3

Regarding the PS3 stick, Does this new “S” revision have the “only works on Intel/VIA chipets” problem? like the original TE did?

Does anyone know if the fightstick will work with the PS3 backwards compatible PS2 games? the last TE didn’t.

Got a lil’ surprise code shiet on my twitter.

Being a Highschool student I have a very limited budget. Thank you so much.

So any word on when/where these sticks will be available in Canada? Amazon.ca still doesn’t even have these sticks listed.

The one I ordered from the first batch using the 20% off LEVELUP20 code arrived today. Great shipping/transaction with Madcatz/Gameshark direct. Spruced it up a bit with spare parts.

Black Mesh Ball, Art’s arrows dust cover, removed colored Sanwa buttons

How does changing the art work on these?

Well the top panel is just a thin covering that sits on top of the normal metal panel (which sits flush to the rest of the case if the top is removed).

So likely that means the proper way to do the art is to get a new plexi top, peel this old one off and put your own art below the plexi. I’m sure Art’s Hobbies is probably working on a new cover to match the dimensions since it’d be pretty easy to make.

Just ordered the PS3 black with the new code and it worked fine! $45 off!!! Awesome! Thanks!

I was thinking along these lines as well. As a matter of fact, I found a compatible Sanwa stick with the “bat-top” on eBay (including the harness) for around $45 USD that would give old-school players a more “traditional” feel. It is what I am planning on to purchase myself within a couple of weeks.

I have used a MAS Super Pro for years and am finding that their customer service is nolonger what it once was. It contained a PS2-based PCB (the size of a microchip) that I utilized along with an InPin Play Converter. Perfect 360 handle and competition buttons. Of course the damned thing burned out on izzy. I have still not heard back from them on pricing for a replacement part to repair. It appears as if the Madcatz TE “S” SSFIV is best alternative for me now.

Are the actual physical dimensions of the Madcatz stick similar to the MAS SuperPro? I am just not a big fan of small arcade handles. I would like and am used to something that I can put the palms of both hands upon comfortably.

Where did you order your buttons from? I think I would like those better than the standard all black or all gray.

This is weird…I just received my order confirmation email from Madcatz/Gameshark as pasted below. The subtotal they have listed looks like they are taking the list price (149.99) and the discount price (104.99 - after the 30% off) to come up with 254.98. At least the grand total (incl shipping and CA tax) is correct so I’m not too worried about it. Even my Paypal confirmation has the correct amount so I think I’m aiight. Right?

Lizardlick carries these (Sanwa dark hai OBSF-30s).

Also, please refrain from image quoting.

I buy my buttons from either Gamingnow.net (local to me if they have in stock), Lizardlick or Akihabarashop (last resort, takes time).

I just ordered my TE “S” Edition from Madcatz and stumbled upon Lizardlick Amusements. I found a great “bat-top” and adapter as a replacement for the Sanwa JLF series joysticks. I am rather stoked over my purchase and cannot wait until I can try this thing out!

And and izzy adds a very humble “thank-you” to the kind individual providing the promo code at Madcatz’s website.
