Media flood going to hit, are we ready?
I can’t wait
love the full face style with no bezel, very nice.
want now but would prefer non controller coloured buttons.
I am days away from modding my Round 1 TE to remove the bezel and go full top plexi, and now its going to be the standard? Suppose I’ll go cut myself now.
Do want!
hotness man hotness
What I’m wondering about at the moment, is whether it’s simply a TE with new sides and a full faceplate or if there are other substantial changes as well?
praying that Mad Catz improve the horrible PCB’s and also get rid of the Turbo feature
As much as I hope the answer is yes, I can’t help but feel there’s a figurative plateau with commercially released sticks. Arcade quality buttons and stick? Check. Easy top access? Check. Quick disconnects? Check. Start/Select out of the way? Check. The TE has all that plus some useful extra stuff beyond that so it’s very difficult to imagine what else could be added to the equation. Multiconsole functionality would really be the biggest but Microsoft won’t allow it so that’s out. Beyond that, what is there to add other than a few neat conveniences? I think it’s now a game of aesthetics. I like this case better than that one, etc.
They’re not going to get rid of the Turbo feature when there’s shump players who will buy the stick if there’s turbo on it. Again, fighting game players are not the only ones who buy arcade sticks.
More importantly, Pics of the inside please? =D
Pointless, as SHMUP’s that don’t have autofire built in (i.e. holding down a button for a stream of bullets) should not be played with autofire. I believe even certain highscores reached using false autofire are disqualified in SHMUP communities?
At the end of the day, how many times have you been to an arcade that had an autofire switch on its R-Type cab? Doesn’t matter if it’s fighters, SHMUPS, or platformers, just play the game how it was intended to be played, or you’ll find it difficult to level up as a player.
IMO, of course.
I don’t think there’s a single shmup on 360 or PS3 that DOESN’T have an in-game rapid fire button. I mean, I guess the feature is nice in case one does come out without it, but it just seems largely pointless.
I bet markman’s already got it <_< Lets rape him and steal it anyone with me?
Damn you Capcom…makin me spend all my strip club money on games and sticks!!! Lolz!!!
Of course I have it. I gave birth to it.
You’re gonna give birth to my child from your man gina while we steal your stick.
(God am i fucked up in the head).
waitinngggggg
While multi-console support will likely never happen, what I want to see at the very least is backwards compatibility and support for non Intel/Via motherboards for the PS3 version.
What do you mean? My friends PS3 stick works on my AMD?
