Actually, it’s the Slums theme. Bay Area remix was Rolento’s (for some odd reason).
But, yeah, I agree that Guy’s theme is the shit.

Same here. Was pretty disappointed in that aspect. Same goes for the other ones we heard like T.Hawk’s and Guy’s.
I kinda like they strayed away from the trailer route, to me they all sounded the same and that would’ve taken away the uniqueness (A problem with SF4 imo)
With Cody you have the Hip-hop feel, then with Ibuki you have a more relaxed feel. I like when they’re diverse.
Let’s just hope the Super OST has the trailor music like the Vanilla SFIV OST had various pieces of Gouken vs. Ryu and Gouki vs. Ryu type stuff as added bonuses.

I’ve loving Claw’s theme and Boxer’s is beginning to grow on me though I generally hate too much vocoder synthesis.
I was deeply saddened by Guy’s theme, I was really, really hoping for his trailer theme but got the 70s game show theme instead. The 3S cast was also let down along with Hakan when it comes to the trailer vs actual theme.
But Cody, Balrog, Fei Long, Adon, Honda, Juri, Gen, and T. Hawk all sound really good.
I think Deejay’s is the best, if not the most improved compared to the original. Juri’s is close behind it of the best of the new characters.
But well… its going to be hard to hear all that going on when you’ve got BGM as good as Secret Laboratory X going on, I was hard pressed to find a reason how they could improve on the last boss BGM, but they beat it senseless. That’s the song for Super right there.

Seeing as this is the SSFIV Music thread, anyone know if Capcom is planning on releasing an official OST outside of the Japanese Collector’s Edition? The music is simply too Godlike for them to not make one.

This is exactly how I feel about the music as well, if they’d kept on the SFIV-rival theme route then almost all of them would sound the same.
It’s better that they’re exploring different genres of music rather than just doing untz untz-mixes, nothing wrong with a little untz untz but it’s better to have variety.
Fixed. Not sure how that even happened, but T.Hawk has the correct theme music.
I hate Cody’s theme. There is no such thing as good Hip Hop.
