I was deeply hoping for a 3D stage + music remix of the classic SF2 stages. I hope they add good music + backgrounds for a DLC at this point
Out of SF4’s new characters, I only like Abel’s and Viper’s themes. Those two actually stand out because they were really driving. El Fuerte music sounds alright. It’s like you opened a treasure chest in The Legend of Zelda and the music won’t stop. I hate Rufus’s theme. It makes me want to punch a baby in the face. As for the stage themes I think the Drive-in and Overpass stick out. As for the Russia stage theme, when I actually went to Russia I hummed it as I was passing a railyard. It was actually strangely fitting.
Looking back at some of the other fighting game’s I’ve played in the past, I’m wish Capcom would have done something similar CvS2’s soundtrack. A lot of the songs were so hype-inducing and groovy (it’s been mentioned before but “This is the True Love We’re Making” is easily one of my favorite stage themes in a Capcom game). It just fit in with the theme of the new millienium.
Yea, dudleys stage was PIMP. I just like how you can edit music on the PC version, i use dudleys stage music for the stage with the cars on the drivein, and seans music for the bridge stage
But, i really think vipers theme is hands down the only theme on par with how epic SF2 was. Rufus’ theme is catchy, abels them is pretty good, the jungle stage can be pretty badass, but Vipers theme is “Wow”
Step it up guys
I like the song for the Africa stage in SSF4.
I’m a trance junkie though =P
ability to put custom music in each stage. please, the end.
Just wanna elaborate on this point. You should be able to specify which track gets played on each stage, instead of just having random music playing using the PS3’s custom soundtrack feature. Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP does exactly what I’m suggesting.
Custom music is a good idea although I would also settle just for the character themes on all the stages.
I never really payed attention to the music in SF4, but hopefully this time around it’s a bit more memorable. I did love Dudley’s theme as soon as I heard it so that might be a good sign…
Some of the character themes don’t sound too bad, I like the new music on the destroyed laboratory, kinda suprised they haven’t hit youtube as yet.
Will there be an ost ?
Yeah the Korea town music and the destroyed laboratory one sounds pretty nice.
I think we can all agree that what CAPCOM needs to do is reintroduce the MVC2 music into this game.
/trollin’*
*actually, I kind of like MVC2’s music and I think the 3S soundtrack was pretty good.
The new (and old but omitted) character themes are surfacing. My first impression of Hakans is that I like the arrangement from the trailer a lot more. Its sillier, but the real version seems so sedate by comparisonassuming what we hear in the Gametrailers video is indeed the real version.
Ill also second the Destroyed Laboratory sentiment. It looks like Capcom put in some real effort for these background, artistic elements. There may be only five new stages, but at least theyre all well done.
What I wouldn’t do to have the mixes from the trailers in the final game…sigh
Wow, those mixes are overproduced and would be trash for background music in my opinion. I am loving the music for Super, while I thought the music for vanilla was pretty awful. Dudley’s theme is so sick, and the Africa music is cool.
My question is, when does a character’s theme music play, and when does the default BGM play?
You can set it up via options.
You have to beat the game first, then after that you have the option of original bgm (stage themes) and arranged bgms (character themes)
Do you know if this is only for Vs. Mode? Or can we choose this option for Arcade mode too.
I’m not 100% I would assume so, but that’s me going based off 3S for PS2
I’m going to have to be in that menu a lot then, because I’m going to want to hear default BGM sometimes and character themes sometimes.
hello, new member here. <_<
Question:
is there no actual raw bgm out yet? as in, youtube videos or such? most of the time it’s just regular matches, and I do wish I could listen to the stage music more clearly, specifically the Savannah eclipse stage and the destroyed lab stage.
As far as my knowledge goes, there is no official OST out.
