Not sure, but: DC’er doesn’t get a loss, you don’t get a win. In fact, I watched an Eggo video showing a bug that gave you a LOSS if you got DC’ed on. Not too sure what that was all about.
When someone disconnect on me, i notice i still get a win though. Not sure if my ranking goes up or not. I think i got one random loss though, i was like when did that happen.
I have received a LOSS occasionally when someone rage quits on ME. Pretty lame when it makes the rank drop like 8-10 ranks because the player giving you the “loss” has a trash rank. :-.
if you’re throwing a blockstring out all gief has to do is spin and mash until a frame opens up.

very bad games to zmaster tan. He beat me more than I did but I don’t care. The thing is when I beat him twice he sent me a mail stating that I was using lag to win… What a kid this guy, I reply. Last he sent me a hate mail treating me as silly chink kid… I’m sos sorry for dat guy who must send hat mails to my xbox friends when they crush him. I think I’ve played you before, and had some noticeable lag and rollback playing you before. I wouldn’t doubt he’d have a little lag, especially if he’s in the states, but if he’s only complaining after you start beating him, then yeah, he’s a scrub.
I think spartan nemesis is using it too now. Fucking reversal SPDs at every turn.
Or maybe it was spartan killa on his account, i dont know.

I dont know man, playing against Fei Long w/ lag is one of most irritating matchups for gief next to Vega. i can see the frustration when losing to lag. You would have a good set going & all sudden a laggy Bison comes in start teleporting/throwing you all over the place, do people look at pings?
I usually tell the person to leave the room if they are lagging it up. Most of the time they dont listen & continue to play.

I recall playing you quite a few months ago. Typically matchups and subsequent trash talk in SFHD are unmemorable. You however were enough of a head case that I can recall exactly what happened clearly.
We were playing in a public room which was full. I and the others had not beaten your 'Rog. On my second or third time against you, I counter picked Zangief and beat you.
Your initial reaction was to mail me (I did not message you first, as your post implies) and degrade me for counter picking you. I wrote you back between games (I have a keyboard hooked up) telling you that you were dominating the room with the same character, so yes, I counter picked you.
Rather than showing any type of good sportsmanship, or just taking a complement, you wrote a nasty reply to me once again.
So the next time you were up, I heard your selection box ding the appropriate number of times for Guile, so I counter picked you by picking Blanka and I won.
What followed was the memorable part, because it had not happened to me previously on X-Box Live, nor has it happened since.
You sent me 8-10 messages, full of nerd rage about how I counter picked you twice. My emotions ran from amused to disturbed for the following reasons:

I told you I counter picked you the first time because you were beating everyone in the room, yet this did not ease your nerd rage.

Despite being a better player than I am, you obviously haven’t mastered the simple task of not getting counter picked in a game which has blind selection which is as simple as jiggling the joystick around a few extra times. Yet you blame me for your getting countered the second time.

You obviously have some type of mental disorder to bang out a good 8-10 messages with no response insulting someone who was previously on your friends list, for the cardinal sin of “counter picking” in a pub.

Many of the good players I ran into online playing SFHD would beat me even if I counter picked them. You should probably think about your mental attitude towards bad matchups and if they’re hurting you more than the actual gameplay disadvantages are.
