I’m thinking Yellow Devil is going to be a stage hazard. I’m interested if there are going to be more Pokemon reps besides Pika and more than likely Jigglypuff… I’m thinking Mewtwo returns with Awakened Forme transformation?
I also spotted a Fire Emblem Arena-like stage in the some of the pictures on the main site. Also, we need a Mt. Silver stage featuring Trainer Red tossing his Pokemon into the battle occasionally.

Nobody asked for Wii Fit Trainer but you know what? After getting over the fact that Nintendo trolled everyone with the announcement she’s actually not a bad pick and it looks like some effort and thought has actually been put into her. They could have easily just made her a generic ass fighter but instead they actually have her doing work out moves and fucking talking to herself while she’s attacking lol. She’ll be knocking people out of the arena and then be doing pushups at the edge and saying ‘FEEL THE BURN!!!’
And then the Villager? Villager looks like some straight up trolling character and is probably the perfect representation for Animal Crossing in pretty much every way. He’s gonna be a fun character to mess with…I will chopping trees down on people trying to get to the stage from below and the potential for pocketing stuff and saving it for later is so ridiculous. Say Peach plucks a bob-omb from out of the ground and throws it hap hazardly at the Villager and he just plucks that shit out the air and pockets it. Now he has a quick powerful projectile that KO’s most of the cast easily at around the 60% mark. And if the hit stun is actually better than brawl’s then that leads to combo potential on that as well.
Namco Bandai Characters are not a priority for 3rd Party in Smash
Sakurai says that they have to be a special case since they have to jump through a lot of hoops to get them in. Surely it can’t be too many hoops jump through to put the hedgehog in right?

some complications are going on with the 3DS version namely with characters where 2 are involved…like the Ice Climbers. Guess that pretty much confirms that Ice Climbers are at least being attempted to be put in this game.

No Plans for Smash Bros. DLC, and Tripping removed
Nintendo as of right now has a different approach to DLC than most everyone else. Make the game as complete as possible first THEN think about DLC. As of right now there aren’t any plans but of course that can change after the game has been released. Also just like people posted before…Tripping has been removed. PRAISE JESUS.

This is responding to something a few pages back, but Matriarch wanted to see Zelda return. Same here! For some reason, I really loved her Twilight Princess style visual design and hope they stick with it this time around too. That said, I also hope they sit down and find out why Zelda’s combat design just isn’t working. Much like Link, she sounds cool on paper… then you play her and things just fall apart. Both of them could benefit from a significant overhaul and I hope they get it.
No Tripping: An encouraging sign. I’m fine with Smash’s default rules being “wacky party game.” That’s fun on its own, but I do hope they’ll offer rules toggles that let us easily turn it into a competitive fighter. The potential is genuinely there, and with Namco helping I’m optimistic it can actually happen.
Roster reduction: Honestly? Fine. The sheer number of “Landmasters for Everyone!” jokes should have made clear we don’t need eighteen minor variations on the same basic idea (I exaggerate, but not by all that much). Toss the clones in as alternate skins/models and everyone’s happy.
On who or what gets 3rd Party Priority: I obviously don’t have much sway on how Nintendo actually handles this, but the priority rightly ought to go to characters who were a major positive influence on Nintendo’s history. Mega Man counts; he was iconic of the NES era. The criteria should be “Was this character’s game(s) something you’d put on a ‘must play’ list for that system?” If so, go for it.

West needs more difficult and ghey, East needs a tad more dynamics and streamlined things. (although going overboard could lead you into something piss easy like a naughty dog game post crash)

Assuming her up B has collision damage we coild potentially be seeing a tornado-esque move. het up tilt Up smash and forward smash are godlike. so is her neutral A ( possibly may be her f tilt)

I don’t believe him. Look at games like Project X Zone or Jump Ultimate Stars and all the characters those games feature. I think he’s just covering his ass citing legal hoops because he knows legions of angry fanboys (like me) are gonna be crying foul when their 3rd party character of choice (KOS-MOS) doesn’t make it into the game.
