That isn’t a result of anything the character does, That is a representation of nintendo not making good use of the ideas they already have.
What makes this character deserving of her own moveset?
Nothing really, it’s just another means of marketing similar to the way lightning just shows up in shit.
riding the coat-tails of galaxy, (which still isn’t as good as mario 64, although still good) and are just including this character in a game celebrating nintendo characters like she was worth being in it all along. Same shit with 3D worlds which is a serious fucking slap in the face.
I wasn’t claiming she’s a better choice for Smash than Daisy (though I do think that).
I was just saying that we know a lot more about Rosalina, a character who has existed for about 6 years, than we do about Peach, who’s been around almost as long as Mario himself. That’s not an minor difference.

I get that you don’t like her, but that’s just a baseless claim, as long as they keep putting her in games, she’ll eventually get more and more developed, like every popular mario character featured in a lot of games.
Daisy used to be peach 2, Luigi used to be the same as Mario, Yoshi used to be just a thing you could ride as a power-up, toad wasn’t much of anything, Donkey Kong was literally just an ape who threw barrels, Wario/Bowser was just a generic villain, Peach was just a damsel, etc.
Honestly the only character that I can remember to come out full of personality was Waluigi, but he doesn’t really count because he’s goddamnmotherfucking Waluigi, and he does whatever the hell he wants.
She’s quiet, mysterious space lady now, but give her some time to get some character like the rest. She probably won’t be as loud and out there as some of the other characters but she won’t be an almost blank slate forever.
On that note, I think Rosalina and King Boo need to get more “personality”, and that they should be featured in more Mario games.
I’d like them to turn King Boo into Luigi’s personal antagonist in the way Mario has Bowser.
He’s already a big bad, and Luigi has already fought against him in the spin-offs.
Also, more Petey Piranha, because Pete Piranha is actually really awesome in everything he’s in.
daisy just appears in side games which from the looks of it is a far as she is going to go, but cheer up combo_knight the next mario kart and mario party are just around the corner!

King Boo actually has gotten more of a personality as of Luigi’s Mansion 2 as a Big Bad that loves to troll Luigi (fitting as he’s the king of an enemy type whose existence revolves arund trolling) and he does seem to be being set up as Luigi’s main antagonist (He’s the Big bad of both Luigi’s Mansion games and trapped Luigi in Mario 64 DS) outside of sport/party games where Waluigi fills the role, I do think Nintendo needs to flesh him out more though.
Honestly at this point I think that Nintendo should make an RPG starring Luigi instead of Mario, it let’s them go even crazier with the plot line than normal in the RPG’s since Luigi has much more of a character than Mario and it gives Nintendo an excuse to use different characters than the normal (Mario/Peach/Bowser trio) from their backlog that haven’t gotten a good shot in the spotlight like Waluigi, Daisy, King Boo and hell maybe even Tatanga from Mario Land or Wart from the American Mario 2 if you want to dig really far in and flesh out/expand upon their characters.
Also agreed with you on Petey Piranha, he’s actually pretty rad.
I always felt like Waluigi was only Luigi’s rival in name only.
Waluigi just wants to win baby, he don’t care who he’s up against.
He’s the main antagonist of the sports/racing games to me, and if it were up to me he’d be like a final boss(of some sort) in those games. In my personal experience, he always seems to have better AI than the rest when i’m up against him, for some reason. Kind of fits, seeing as how those are the only games he’s really featured in.

Personally I would have welcomed her as a heavy. I like having more characters that I can do grab loops on.
Project M has me spoiled right now with these kill throws, I wish peach would go back to hers.
I see this more of a comment about her falling speed and not her weight. I see her as being floaty and a heavy, like Samus.

In my opinion, the Mario&Luigi series of games has always been more about Luigi than Mario.
And I’ve used Waluigi in every game he’s been in since Mario Tennis because he’s just that awesome. I don’t understand why a majority of the Internet doesn’t like him.
Very off topic, but another RPG in the Mario world (be it Mario, Luigi, whoever) would be awesome.
I’d also buy a Mario FPS game. Red shell rocket launchers, leaf fire throwers, come on now. Make it happen.
