I heard talk of Geno from MArio RPG as a playable character. Yay or nay? Would you guys play as him? I think he’s a badass.
Well if SSBM is on the Evo roster, it might be an indication that we won’t see Brawl for a reeeeeeeeeally long time. :\
Thats lame news. The preview made fox bein on the game seem like epic news. I think everybody expected fox to come back so why wouldn’t they just show us some more of the new characters. I guess they just wanted to show the characters that would already be on the game.
Big question: Who will beating the game with Snake unlock? The unlockables are usually related to the main character in one way or another. Liquid Snake anyone?
If there is that much of a wait, here’s hoping they use the time to add ONLINE CAPBILITIES. I will get a Wii the same day I pick up this game, so I can wait as long as needed.
Sadly, I have to agree. I hope they don’t nerf Peach. . . too much. I’m scared about what they’ll do to her d-smash and float capabilities. As long as she still has her awesome aerials and some sort of float it’ll be good.
Depends, I never really dug Geno, but if he has some good moves, then I wouldn’t mind.
Actually, I’d hope they wouldn’t, but given the fact that a lot of characters on Smash have had clones, it is not outside the realm of possibility.
It would be the worst console related failure since the Jaguar CD, if Nintendo DIDN’T give Smash online capbilities. I mean for the Wii to have all these online features but no online games, it is just insane.

Yea… liquid wouldn’t be the best addition to the game. I don’t think they would be able to have him runnin around the map inside Metal Gear. Maybe Meryl, or the Ninja would be a good pick. The ninja in his spiderman costume lol. Or even better yet… the greatest addition to the series since falco…

That would be sum good shit. He’d have to have stealth and all that shit too, and he’s prolly be just as fast if not faster than Fox and Falco. Bein faster than fox would just be wreckless tho. For some reason the faster you are the faster you fall. Wouldn’t it be sum shit if they put Star Wolf in this edition. That would own… i cant lie i would really like to see that. Or how bout Slippy and/or Peppy which doesn’t make me quite as happy but they’re definite possibilities.
I won’t complain if there’s another Metal Gear character, but I’m hoping if Konami does get two spots, that a Belmont will be the second. Simon Belmont has a ton of Nintendo history.

Ive already read the flame of the topic, but… not knowing Simon Belmont was like a kick to the nuts for me.
Sonic has not been officialy confirmed, but in an interview with Official Nintendo Magaziene in the UK, Yojiro Ogawa was asked about his stance of Sonic in smash, fighting alongside Mario and Snake. His reply was an encouraging sign. In my personal opinion, it would be great to have Sonic in it. But that would really involve Sonic and Nintendos management, its nothing to do with me!
While there’s no official confirmation on the GC controller, Brawl will be using the Classic controller, NOT the Wii Remote.

Still no confirmation yet, but two things are likely: (1) it will not happen in the first two quarters of the year, and (2) it will most likely not happen until the 4th quarter, around November/December.

As a business decision, Nintendo should be including as many third-party characters as they can. So many people are excited over Brawl merely because of Snake’s inclusion; Nintendo can net a bunch of people who don’t consider themselves fans of the company or system by putting in characters they’d like to play as.
And the collateral business benefits would be nice as well; if I buy a Wii just because Brawl looks fantastic and it’s got characters I love, then I probably won’t just let my Wii sit there collecting dust. Odds are they’ll go and purchase other games for it as well.
Think of Brawl as a gateway game for a whole new budding generation of Wiitards.
