I agree…it looks completely punishable…i mean it’s only just a tank ya know? that’s nothing a few jabs to it’s steel plated hide couldn’t fix =D
yeah, it’s not like the tank is made out of radioactive material, the instant you touch it you take damage sort of thing. It’s like an active item on the screen, which fox can only use.
Also another thing about fox’s final smash:
since it needs to “land” to do most of the functions of the tank, what if fox grabs the Smash Ball in the air above empty space? For the sake of arguement, if the effects of the Final Smash is instant, then GGPO fox, he drops the tank and risks losing a stock/point. It’s too risky of a final smash, really.
Pikachu can just volt tackle his way to the stars if he grabs it, since he can hover with it in the air much like storm’s lp+mk (as far as what we saw in the vid).

Based on what we know and see, it looks like the Landmaster has serious drawbacks. Its use will probably be limited…looks like you need plenty of space to maneuver. I wonder if you can damage it? If you can, it’ll probably take a lot of effort to destroy the Landmaster (and maybe Fox with it?).
How odd that Fox’s F.Smash is the tank when logic dictates it should be planes. Oh well, looks fun at least. Can’t imagine what my brother will say, since he’s a Fox whore. :lol:

they do in Melee, not often, but yes they do. More noticeable in moving stages (for obvious reasons).
It’s just wasted opportunity when they could’ve used the Airwing II, which can maneuver in the air and not restricted to the ground.

lmao…i’m sorry…i’m finding the fact that a tank can be interrupted…especially by characters of those sizes…quite funny. ok in all seriousness though…even if it could take damage…It’s a tank…I’d imagine all 3 players would have to be beating up on that thing for quite awhile before it actually blows up prematurely. And if characters are trying to free ride on it…you roll. and i’d imagine that hovering could help solve most or any problems that the landmaster could have on a generally flat stage…and for that matter even a slightly moving stage…However i will agree that i could see where it becomes a problem if it was something like…Poke Floats. If they’re making the landmaster tank true to form than it won’t have any problems hovering and landing on a diff platform and probably in the process squashing any supposed attackers with it’s treads. I mean look at the damn thing in comparison to the characters! I’d imagine the only thing that would REEALLY maybe interrupt the tank for sure…would be a homerun bat…and that’s a BIG IFF…I doubt Ganon’s wizard punch wouldn’t even move that damn thing.
