It’ll be good to play people you already know though, which means I don’t have to drive like an hour to play cort, or two hours to play pc chris.

Uh, guys, friend codes has nothing to do with the game design. the wii itself uses friend codes therefore the devs don’t get to choose the format. You should’ve known friend codes were going to be used from day one.

And why are people bitching about the friend codes? No one has a problem inputing players’ IP addresses when playing some fighters online, so what’s the issue here? In the games I’ve gone online with, I’ve played no more than 4-5 people consistently. 64 should be fine for now. How hard is it to input 16 digits? If anyone’s gonna have a problem with online play, it should only be because matches are lagging.
Thank you! That’s the only thing that I’m concerned about for online play. Heck as long as 1 vs 1 has no lag I’ll still be happy.
I have a feeling that is the main reason the game was delayed in the first place.

They are tacking it on in the last minute, combine that with Nintendo’s immense aversion to combining Good, Experience, and Online together and you’ve got a prickly situation.
Like WS said, all we can hope for now is for the game to be as lag free as possible.
yeah. i’m not gonna bother keeping up with the updates anymore. and the way the online battles are being handled disappoints me.
