I like a lot of the villains, but the only good guy type worth a damn is Falcon. Yes, he’s a bit goofy but he has an aura of cool about him as well, plus he gives thumb’s up.
I would like to see Falcon and either Blood Falcon or the Shadow dude, if he is that huge guy in black that kinda looks like Disney Dictator.
…O.o; looks at the roster of melee…oh yes…it’s completely over flowing with cannon-blaster chicks…
I vote Hector…but i doubt they’d put him in…:(…he was too beastly in the first Fire Emblem…if i was in a jam i just put him in the fray and he’s take out like 10 people by himself and take no damage lol.
but anyway…Smash It Up! It’s Hip To be Square:
YES…PPLLLEEASSE…give us a phoenix wright assist…lol…that would be waaayy too good
wow…they actually mentioned the fact that Capn Falcon’s not in…lol
’ Another five days of updates, and another five days of no new playable characters being revealed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It’s beginning to be concerning, now, that some of the old Smash veterans haven’t yet appeared in profiles on SmashBros.com ? the Captain Falcon fans, in particular, are about to fly to Masahiro Sakurai’s house and toilet paper the place.'
I find that pretty funny considering they just don’t know…and it’s gonna be way worse than toilet paper…that can be assured lol
not really, people are just going crazy and being ass-hats with all these assumptions of who will be in the game.
*ryu wont be in it. if you want to play as ryu go fucking play a sf game or something.
*a “big name” like geno wont be in it.
*there will be NO square-soft characters in the game, youre retarded if you think that would happen.
*arthur wont be in it
*viewtiful joe wont be in it, they dont make any VJ games anymore so what would nintendo gain from this? nothing.
*you know; there wont be any capcom characters in this game, period.
*99.8% of all cross over characters that you would like to see will not be in this game, period. plus all the IGN character wish lists are just a waste of space/time.
sorry for the negative attitude but its starting to get old here
Fanboy game? So is MvC2, or CvSNK2. . .just a bunch of crossovers throwing everyone’s favorite fighter into the fray, and look how serious the fighting game communities are for those. Yes, Smash originally started off as fanservice. . .why else would you dump a bunch of non-related Nintendo characters into a game at once?
And it’s a pity that VJ will probably never get any rep in Smash. He’s a perfect character for the game, the same way that Mega Man is–characters that already have a clearly thought-out moveset and attack animations, with a large fanbase.
Thank you for clearing that up. I’m actually interested in playing this, when it comes out.
I’ll probably be labelled a troll for this (not my intention).
When I visit this thread, I want to know about new system mechanics and shit.
Not “OMG!!”, “NU CARACTERZ PLEEZ”,“ASSIST TROFEES” and shit like that.
To everyone who doesn’t find that understandable, and is already a part of the Smash community. This is an example of why certain gamers (I’m not included with these people) don’t treat this game as a fighting game.
For intstance. A huge amount of media regarding Tekken 6, has just appeared. Players are discussing the possibilites within the game, as opposed to what the characters wearing, and how pretty the stages are.
I said it once already but I still will like Crono in this game. Even as an assist I would be thankful. I believe it can be possible, I even see Yasunori Mitsuda composing the theme for the stage. Unfortunately, if another 3rd party character is chosen from Square it would be hard not to add Cloud in the game. The dark force is strong with him.
It’s not treated as a fighting game cuz it’s not tradtional and it’s Nintendo.
If party fighters had set the norm back in the old days of fighting games, then games like Street Fighter and Tekken would be looked down upon since they would be breaking the norm.
WHOOOOAA!!!..hold up yo…you want me to prepare the crow now or later? You may wanna go back and edit that a lil bit or something. That seemed to jump out at me the most through your post. Sure…Capcom doesn’t have a chance in hell in showing up in this game at all!..Megaman only showed up first on the NES…and capcoms involvement on 2 legend of Zelda titles doesn’t mean squat to nintendo either! =D
The IGN character speculation is what it is. They aren’t the only ones wondering who’s gonna show up in smash and with the roster the way it is and the assist trophies you can’t tell me you aren’t at least speculating yourself. It’s all in fun and some of the characters that they had said before hand had actually showed up in some form.
Unfortunately…THIS…IS…SMASH BROS.!!! sparta kicks someone and not tekken 6. So while they’re probably getting info on combos and certain weapons that can be used to extend a combo string if they’re warn like bryan’s shot gun. We don’t receive nearly as much info as they do so they’re able to do that more than we are. When a new mechanic comes up we do discuss it…points at the Glide update If there’s something you would like to discuss then bring it up then!
And i can’t help it if there’s over thousands of people wondering whos gonna show up in this game especially if it could be at least anyone who’s shown up on a Nintendo console…should i compare this to the massive amount of street fighter 4 character speculation? And at least the speculation is better than the usual cycle of update, discuss, someone mentions someone’s broken, someone mentioning that either someone isn’t as broken as they say or someone is more broken, tiers on brawl, and finally tiers in melee or how broken and/or unbalanced the game is or isn’t. It doesn’t exactly happen in that exact order either.
I just checked the Tekken thread and the last like three pages are filled with music discussion, how much people are going to play Bob, outfit discussion, release date and IN BETWEEN that shit is mild discussion on move properties based on more structured videos than this game has had to date.
The only reason character speculation is so high here, and not in the Tekken thread is a) Tekken has no new characters to think about, and b) Smash bros takes it’s characters from currently existing games, so it’s actually feasible to think about.
