In case you didn’t see my other thread in the Sagat forum, I main Sagat. I’m trying to learn how to deal against other characters, but alas, a vast majority of the people I play online are…well…noobs. Not to be offensive to 'em, but it’s just that I want to fight somebody more experienced, so I can learn some more techniques, as I’m entered in that Gamestop tournament. The store manager said there will probably be people from Lansing and Ypsilanti coming down to the store I’ll be at, and those guys are supposedly the hardcore Michigan players, so I need all the help/experience I can get.
The only days I’m not busy are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, so if you’re open then, feel free to add me on Xbox Live. Hope to see some of you guys on!

I’m trying to finally get into “block strings” and simple combos, then hopefully move on to focus canceling tactics. I’m maining Akuma as of now but I have a lot of problems vs Bison and I’m thinking that maybe Akuma demands way too much skill and it’s not a good choice to practice on. Should I go with ken?

This a a great thread. Like a bunch of people, I just picked up SFIV after a loooong hiatus since SFII. Obviously, since I was probably 12 years old since I played this on the Super Nintendo, I kinda blow. I’d love to start playing some real people who are a little more fun, friendlier, and not as low-functioning as most other randoms you find on XBL In case it doesn’t show up to the left, my gamertag is TheDowntempo. If you’ve got game questions we have a whole forum of people to ask what’s up. Look for what you’re looking for first with the search feature and if you can’t find anything, toss some questions.
I’m actually running into this same problem. I want to, for lack of a better way of putting it, get my ass kicked. The only way I’ll get better is by fighting better players, after all. So, if you want a punching bag, bring it. Haha!
