I got SFIV when it came out, but put it down shortly thereafter. Decided to get back into when Super came out. So what this means simply is that I’m bad and looking to seriously up my game. I play Viper and Makoto (Mostly Viper right now though).

Yup, I’m a newbie. Need help
Hey all, just signed up to this forum.
Right, in all honesty, this is my first EVER street fighter, or any game of this type for that matter (might have played tekken once or twice on PS1, but that was all button bashing). Now, I’m really trying to get good at this game, because in all honesty, I love SSF4. The one thing I can’t do consistently is Super’s and Ultra combo’s. I’m using a standard 360 pad with the analogue stick (been advised to use the D-Pad but can’t use it at all). I’m guessing you are all aware of the analogue stick movement for the Hadoken…the analogue stick down and then moved upwards left or right depending on which way you are facing. I can pull off Hadoken’s no problem, but it’s the supers and ultras I’m really struggling with. You have to do the Hadoken analogue stick action twice, but I can’t do it. I’ve been in training mode for hours on end and I might only pull off like 3 or 4 in an hour, and in a proper match I can’t even pull it off. Have any of you got any hints on how to execute the analogue stick movement quickly and efficiently? Because honestly, I really do get angry filling up the super bar but never being able to use it…
