Super SFIV Arcade - Akuma Changes

I was just saying his Juggle should be like this to give him a decent buff:

That kind of juggle isn’t very SF4 anymore… Akuma doesn’t need any real “buffs.” Just give him back his old stun capabilities and if they’re generous, the round house loop.

The RH loops worked on few characters so its ok. But yeah what i say is give his stun back. I mean his Shaku’s do less stun. Put that back. His sweep stun back as well. I play sum high level players in Orlando and if I get “momentum” I stun them within 10 seconds of doing high stun combos" = <3 EX tatsu.

Well what I am trying to say is. His juggle should be utilized with his super bar. I mean chain combo juggles with 2 FADC’s or combos for maximum punishment + stun making Akuma deadly. Thats a reasonable buff. Or give his Demon Flip Kick more priority… cr.LP out of it just so dumb… im not saying make him broken. But i want him to be a character with like OMFG i messed up I got tons of damage. Gotta think 2 steps ahead now on my next move. That is how Akuma the Demon should be feared as. Having health like a girl should have its advantages imo…

If U2 is comboable after srk. it should be for all 3 types of SRK. LP,MP or HP. Maybe x-up Tatsu to U2 may work on more characters if it starts up faster!?!?!

Walk speed nerf? Kinda like how everyone was saying Super was faster than Vanilla?

If U2 is comboable from an SRK FADC, that will be great. U2 always had the potential to be awesome, but it was hobbled by the slow start-up and weird AA properties. I hope this is true, but I’m not holding my breath. Might be a troll.

Where did the original info come from? Eventhubs has it, but I suspect they got it from here.

I’m quoting the Japanese SFIV wiki, which is being edited by those playing the test version right now.

I think its also worth noting again that nobody testing the game in Japan has mentioned Akuma’s SRK fadc > U2 ability. That rumour surfaced here and hasn’t been validated by anyone.

Shintei Satsui. Akuma is already good and you want him completely broken to make for what sounds like YOUR lack of skill. Stop.

I wonder if the U2 being faster will effect the leniency of combing it off of st.HP and such?

No its not that. Its just i like 3S akuma too much lol. Thats why i wanted him implemented in some way in SSFIV XD

I know akuma is fine just the tatsu nerf hammer is gonna be hard to get out of corners with characters that have answers for teleport. Aka. Balrog, Cammy etc.

So i wanted sumthing in return lol :o

why do you have 7 Mains…

Yeah like removing the air tasu escape :bgrin:

dont believe my 7 mains lol. I said that before the game came out. Its just Guy and Akuma lol. And I rarely use guy lol

What’s so funny about that?

That’s not a system change is it?

If they nerf the air tatsu escape that is bullshit, because they already nerfed the teleport recovery time.

Sigh… Sometimes I just feel like Capcom listens to all the Zangief and Bison scrubs complaints:

Scrubs: "WAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Akuma can teleport out of the corner and we can’t do our bullshit corner traps!"
CAPCOM: "Well, we can fix that! We’ll make Akuma’s recovery on teleport longer in SSFIV so you can punish him all day if he tries"
Scrubs: "WAAAAAAAAAAAH! Now Akuma’s Air Tatsu’ing away!! Baiting Teleports don’t work anymore!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"
CAPCOM: “Ok, we’ll take his cowardcopter away then! Now you can beat up on him in the corner again!!”

I’m telling you, they just hate Akuma…

This is why I think SFIV is the best version of the game. Capcom need to stop doing these bullshit tweaks. If you leave the ‘imbalances’ in good players will find ways around them over time.

^ In other words, Capcom cares more about appeasing to the masses (ie: the majority of SSFIV players being casual and usually “scrub level” players) to make profit as opposed to the dedicated SF community who will still being playing this game for years to come

This was clear as soon as they released SF4.

These are all stun combos. You can’t do them without the opponent being stunned.
