Dang, after playing this in the arcade till it came out on XBLA, I thought I was decent at this game, but every time I play someone online, I get stomped on.
OH, and bad games to NigBickDigga for Dc’ing on me when I was abouts to win.

Acesmith - maybe, i dont really remember, dc happens all the time, sometimes my connection sucks, other times its the other persons connection, whatev.
I just get annoyed when people wont play me cause im beating them. If i got owned by someone, i’d be all “run that back, yo” and i try to get another game with that person. Otherwise, only people i dont play against are people that lag.

When I try and find Player Matches, it just freezes up and says “Refreshing” forever. Weak.

Slightly mad that someone lost connection against my first defeat & that counted as a loss against me. I’m been working my way up again.

Has anyone attempted, come close to, anything with this achievement?
My girlfriend and I have been trying all night, how is it possible?
I noticed that you can’t even do a power gem plus 2 attatched on the side that equal 25, etc.
We’re pretty sure it has to be a 5 X 5 freaking massive power gem.

eh, cant you make custom counter gem patterns now? if so then that should balance it out nicely…
Yea it has to be 5 x 5 or 4 x 7+ or 3 x 9+. Try against the first couple opponents & especially against Ken & Sakura since the computer likes to toss red on to your side. They don’t attack much so it’s easier. If you get too far, reset the game. If you get to COM Dan then this should be a breeze. Of course getting to Dan is extremely difficult if he’s even in this version.

Also, I think I saw a post on Gamefaqs that said you can’t face Dan in Arcade mode
But yeah…seems like that would be the best way to do it!
I was sooooo lucky for this one,
I played against CPU Morrigan and ALL I got were double yellows and double blues. That’s it. So I was able to do it and knock her out in the first attack.

What I did was put only 2 colors in the middle (based on the opponent’s pattern of course) with everything else to the side. Destroy any unneeded crap the CPU sends you that can mess things up. Then unload a diamond on the one of the colors and everything will just fall down and form one huge gem. Don’t even bother trying to build blocks till after the diamond, at which point you’ll just need to patch up the holes/make it the right size. That’ll just mess up the formation if they fall and don’t fit right in with the other blocks.
Also, I’d do it in X mode because the diamond does less damage in that. The computer likes to die cause it sucks. Still needs luck, but it helped.
Edit: Guess I was too late. Looked at your profile and saw you already got the achievement already.
ok just got the game, and it seems the counter gem edit is only for local play.
So far I’ve had 3 network errors when hosting that caused me to lose the match in the game lobby. What’s up with that? It’s really annoying.
How does that “Please wait” “Ready” toggle work? Is there really network problems or is the guy hitting Ready, Not Ready hoping to screw up the matchmaking to win the match? :tdown:
