I would really like to thank Mike Thrust and Andrew Lamer for getting the stream team food. I think streaming is very under appreciated for what it is and would like to really let you guys know that your generousity and brotherhood is very appreciated. Stream team basically put in work for 12+ hours both days with little to no breaks let alone time to pick up anything edible. Also shout outs to that guy (who I don’t know) for offering us Popeye’s chicken. It means a lot guys!
Hey for real, next time you are at a major event - buy the stream team something to eat if you appreciate what they is doing. I know Level Up crew and Gootecks crew get hungry just like IPW!
You seem to have so much fun with life, it’s infectious. Juicecam was easily one of the best parts of the high quality stream provided, thanks again tireless ipw crew.
Note that the following players received EVO seeds:
SSF4: Justin Wong and AndyOCR
HDR: John Choi and DGV
TK6: Holeman and NIN
MvC2: Justin Wong and Chunkstah
2 jackets were left behind at the hotel and are in my possession now. If you lost a jacket, please PM me the jacket descriptions and if it’s yours, we can work something out. A fellow player also lost a stick in a northface bag. Please let me know if you found this.
SSF4 singles had about 250 players. TK had just below 60. 34 for HDR. CvS2, 3s, MvC2 had 18-25ish and hence did not spill over to Sunday.
thank you everyone on the ncr staff and the volunteer bracket runners for helping with making the tourney possible
i left my stick in a blue/grey northface brand bad (not an evo stick bag). tho i probably wont’ see my stick again, so to whoever is keeping it, i have invested in a voodoo doll and i’m attaching a curse to it. that is all.
Way to be unclear. Start with a pessimistic premise, you’re sure to get bad results.
If anyone saw a stock TE stick lying around, enclosed in a North Face bag, that stick belongs to vasaznion. If you have it or know where it is please post up so that we may get the stick back. It’s not hard to miss as it has his name ALLEN CHANG on the bottom of the stick. I travel to the bay area on occasion and can pick it up from whomever has it. Your help in this is much appreciated, please try to sympathize with the feeling of losing your stick at a major tourney. It does not feel good. We just want good vibes, thanks for reading.
we’ve set up a special client services email for anyone who has complaints about the stream (Commentary, quality, “you shoulda done this while I was eating cheetos infront of my computer”, etc)
thanks to all the staff for putting this event together. I got to meet a bunch of cool people and it has always been my dream to wake up in a bed with sanchez and it could not have been made possible without SNCR.
And so goes another great event. Unfortunately, it was the last big one before EVO. But I had a ton of fun and I think everyone really got something from it. Shout-outs to the usual suspects (all HDR players) and Happy Birthday to synco  LOL
Very many thanks to MarkMan, ShinJN, Alex Valle, FilipinoChamp, and James Chen for all the feedback regarding Art’s acrylic cases. I’m sure the feedback will help a lot . Honestly, you guys really helped us out here. Also, I appreciate all the comments and feedback from various players who inquired about it. Stay posted at Art’s thread for any information regarding the stick here.
Also, thanks to Justin Wong for . Since my $500.00 FT10 MM challenge at WCW1 (which couldn’t happen because 1. I was short on full funds and 2. Justin wasn’t in attendance), I’ve been looking for an opportunity to challenge him… but I’ve sobered up on the heavy gambling :D. Hence, the friendly 2/3 sets :D. Maybe we’ll do a FT5 for $20 next time…
Finally, I’d like to thank the stream team and people responsible for coverage. It really is a thankless job (sort of like running tournaments), but when you’re running a stream and running around taking pictures, you don’t have much time to rest - it seems like a different kind of monster. I saw a few people looking extremely tired, but soldiered on. Thank you thank you thank you very much.
I am UPSET by a SoCal top 2, but still have love for SoCal. Let’s hope for a West Coast / USA top 3 finish at Evo!
Washingington crew: For all the laughs and causals
Flip Champ: For getting in casuals with us
Thnxyoutoo: Thanks for the monitor
Socal peeps: Thanks for the pointers and so forth.
Norcal: Thanks for awesome tourney.
Thanks for everybody behind Super NCR 2010.
I was pissed that I missed it last year.
John Choi is a superman, he can multitask really well, running the tourney, brackets, playing and WINNING! (Congrats)
The iplaywinner team is really professional with the stream. The setup is godlike.
Although I’m not a tekken player, I found the tekken commentary of Day2 very funny (especially when they called nin to participate, I really lmao during that set). Kudos to the guys doing that commentary.
Seth & James are the best candidates for the sf commentary since they are so knowledgeable with all the capcom titles. I hope they will do it for the EVO final as well.
Also I want to give props to madcatz and markman.
It brings additional hype to the events with all these shiny sticks around (plus the awesome onsite TE R2 + super TE $99 sale).
I understand it’s PR activities but it’s still very generous for them to sponsor and give out free sticks to the audience.
It sucks that my reaction time is so slow when they asked questions. Literally 20 dudes raised their hands within 0.25 seconds. fadc xx shoryuken!
Hori should definitely learn from them. I don’t even see Hori giving out sticks at japan sf4 national (their turf).
Thanks to Mr. Choi for running the event, double thanks for adjusting my time so that I could fight in Pool D.
I got peaced out in 2, but it was totally worth it.
Shoutouts to Markman for hooking us up with the discounted TE. Shoutouts to the SoCal peeps for keeping the rivalry where it should be. I’m so glad we have a major within driving distance, truly is a blessing.
