i dont have a full update on exact time of arrival for SFxT but i do have confirmation its the latest build and does include gems… the arcade will be open to the public during the early part of the day but after that we are closing it only #WNF contestants and people there to see SFxT.
thanks to all who came down last night. getting a pretty good turnout every friday for our casual console nights and some good comp weekly. theres always room for more so feel free to bring your friends down! also noticed soul caliber 5 getting some good following which is why sundays will be dedicated to that scene. tomorrow 2/12 we are having a SC5 tourney starting roughly at 5pm. its gonna be $8 to enter with $5 going to the pot and $3 for venue. if we hit 32 players i will throw in a random prize for raffle drawing to support this scene. thanks and see you here!
To be clear, 2012 is on console, but set up in an arcade cabinet. On consoles you pay for an hour and play as much as you like. Tokens are approximately equivalent to a quarter, but paying more gets a better token “exchange rate” if you will. Every bill denomination scales, up to $20 which is 100 tokens at 20 cents a token.
Competition is good on Wednesdays for WNF, Friday nights and weekends in general. Those aren’t the only times, but the most consistent times. I’ve come in at weird times and found some pretty good players before.
In terms of the area, it is better than most. Walnut’s a pretty small, quiet suburb. I wouldn’t have any concerns walking, personally.

all the fighting games here are 1 token, HF, ST, A2, A3, MVC2, CVS2, 3s, SF4:AE. also have 3 console cab set ups in sit down megaloo stations that cost $1/per person/per 30 mins. pretty lenient on time fwiw. weds we run WNF, fri we have $5 console casuals, sun we are now running soul caliber 5 weekly tourneys. hope that answers everything and hope to welcome another reg to the superdojo family!
also, i cant stress it enough, this wednesday capcom will be here with SFxT. we are setting a cap for this night along with a cap for the WNF tourney. you will be required to have a wristband to enter after paying the venue fee for WNF. come early as possible and avoid getting shut out. some of you were here when we first started and G4 was filming, and most of you have been around for the past 2 WNF. this place gets packed, and only expect it to be much much worse this week. we are making a ton of arrangements to fit as many people as possible but for everyones safety it will be limited.

FYI, ST crew will be in on Saturday for a tournament and the usual casuals! Anyone interested should come down and enjoy the ST action (Shirts) before EVO quals! We’ll probably get started around 5pm

I’d pay 50c to play 2012 but that’s just me. But with SFxT coming out soon, hopefully we’ll have that to play.
I’d pay two tokens for 2012.
Also, any idea if SFxT will get an arcade release? I’d imagine that would get a good amount of play as well. Much more so than if we had to just use a console setup.
