Airship 101

Made a new level…intended to be the boss level for the first level of my Super World.
Its something for novices (aka…1st time Mario players, or young kids) and people trying to play through a traditional-ish SMB3 level.

Another level down. This one maybe my world 1-1 or 1-2.

Grassland Pipes!
Course ID: 52G-SV3-01G

SHORT SMB3 level 1 stage. Take note of pipes with red koopas & coins.
Its something for novices (aka…1st time Mario players, or young kids) and people trying to play through a traditional-ish SMB3 level.

Also, I have got to get used to space given for the main worlds.

They don’t have a Bookmark site for SMM2, unfortunately. I actually used the heck out of it for SMM on Wii U.

I’m not sure if I played any of your levels or not, but I’ll check them out next time I log on to my Wii U.

since Animal Crossing is starting to get bland with me. (I mena once you get 5 stars…now what?) I may finally get back into actually making a few stages. Trying to recreate and update all of mine from Wii U:

New level created today for the first stage of my Super World.

Crossing the Bridge

Another Short World 1-style bridge level with a “couple” of Hammer Bros!!

Once again I keep underestimating how short the main world is and how quick you can run into the goal, when designing levels. :sob:

Koopa Castle I

First mini-Boss castle themed level!!

World 1 style castle with Red koopas, a boss battle, and plenty of Thwomps!!

With this level done, the first stage of my Super World is now completed!!

Finally finished my next level:

Nuts in the Basement
09P-YDL-L2G

It’s a Flying Squirrel Mario level in New Supe style. Takes place underground, and has some cool On/Off mechanics with conveyer belt clinging and Wigglers.

@CDB2 I played through your levels, all are solid and fun to play. I especially liked Koopa Castle 1, with the Thwomps and the Boom Boom fight with a low ceiling.

One thing I would mention is in Grassland Pipes! there are a couple “naked” pipes that aren’t connected to anything. One thing I learned from playing the first Mario Maker game was to connect the bare end of a pipe so it doesn’t look incomplete just hanging out there. Solid blocks or ground blocks work fine, and it adds a lot to the aesthetic of your levels. It’s just a tip I picked up from someone and it’s helped my level design a bunch.

Also, you mentioned that you wish the levels in the main world are longer. You can drag the flag pole to the right to extend your level. Just put the cursor at the base of the flag pole and it’ll let you slide it around.

That’s a great level, man! Really fun platforming. Angry Sun definitely adds a little extra to it. Took me a few tries but I beat it!

30-second speedrun with Frog Mario. You’ll have to toss items and pick up new ones in midair to maintain P-speed. It’s tricky, but I know y’all can do it!
