super cancels

sup everyone, ryu user here…

i’m having a problem executing one of the combos listed in the SF:AC strategy guide…it is the one that hits 7 times and causes 98 damage…i’d be very useful for me learn and master this…

  1. close HP -> shouryuken (HP) -> shin-shoryu-ken, juggle with joudan sokutougeri (HP)

i’m having a tough time connecting the shouryuken into the super art…the shouryuken is cancelled into the super art, but how much of the shouryuken is visible before SAII is executed? and how fast am i supposed to be doing this? i’m basically doing the shoryuken motion and pressing HP, then rolling the controller (joystick later on) twice for the shin-shoryu-ken and pressing punch…is there a way of reducing the number of motions?

and are there other combos utilizing SAII that would be helpful?

easiest way to do it is to IMMEDIATELY do a qcf motion right after you finish the Shoryuken motion. yep. that’s just ONE qcf motion. don’t do 2. reason it’s possible is 'cuz the game reads it as 2 because the Shoryuken already has a qcf motion in it.
