Really good games last night. Was featuring the focus system to alot of people, and explaining how it works over and over again to get folks better. I had the most lucky win-streak of a lifetime, at 49 wins before the owner cut the power. Really nice meeting you gents, see you all again another late night at super!

he’s unlocked by a code that someone with the keys to the machine needs to put in. it’s “c5hsp3gn”. once you put it in (there’s a “password” menu) it says “Gouki (CPU)”. sounds to me like there will be some kind of akuma playable.

i don’t know exactly what conditions you need to satisfy, but i played through the game trying to get as many perfects, ultra finishes, and super finishes as i could. you can lose a round or two to seth and still get him, i think.

I havent played the game but I have a question before I go to SA and get raped by Focus attacks: When you are knocked down about to getting up, and the opponent starts to charge a FA so when u fully wake up he will land an unblockable attack on you … is it possible to reverse that by you doing a FA right after waking up?

Like FAs beats FAs ?

It depends on the timing really. I had alot of setups where you can FA someone on wakeup, but if they do a multi hit anti air (ex shoryu etc) you get knocked out from the 2nd hit most the time. Countering it with another FA wouldent work too well, since the point where you can absorb the one hit doesent happen until you flash white for a sec, and it takes half a second to get to that point.

I read that when the character flashes white, then they cant cancel the FA into a dash forward or backward, is that right? … Coz if it wasnt then that will create a lot of advantage to the player doing the FA on a waking up opponent. The guy waking up should then “guess” if the player performing the FA will attack so he can do an EX-move, or if he will cancel it. If he guessed wrong; he did a EX shoryuken ( eg Ryu ), and the other dashed backwards, then the woke-up character will be punished heavily after landing.
