Some basics to start off is headbutt is punishable to rekka blocked with reversal timing. Ex headbutt I believe it’s punishable to only EX rekka or some crazy thing like that. If honda let’s go of his charge then starts heading toward you like a mad man well try to keep your rekka spacing. I feel in this match up if you have life lead keep it and make Honda work for it by playing lame he’ll know that head butt is punishable on block
Watch for your anti-airs, most headbutts are punishable by rekka (ex-headbutt is punichable by ex-rekka or if it’s spacing imporperly as in he is in the corner and you bait a ex-headbutt you can lp rekka for punish). OS flamekick his wakeup options, watch your rekka spacing he can punish you with cr.lp>hands. If he has two bars be aware of the cr.lp>hands>fadc>oichio (only thing you have to do here is not be asleep at the wheel a simple neutral jump will beat this clean). CW has no use in this fight other than for juggle, his headbutt will beat you clean every time and it hurts. At the proper distance use cr.hp, st.hp, cr.mp, and rekka OS (cr.lp>rekka) are good for footsies. Honda has no way of getting in on you other than jump, or walk forward try your best to keep him from walking forward with rekka or footsies, and like i said before watch for anti-airs (be wary of empty jumps). One thing that is tricky with honda is the walk forward hands for pressure, be aware that this will shut down a lot of fei’s options so be careful. When you get the life lead, hang back and don’t pressure as much.
Footsie him to death, every option that dudley has fei has an answer. Cr.mk will beat most of his options except his forward mp. cr.hp,cr.mk stops all ducks. st.hp will beat out most of his standing heavy hitting normals if timed correctly. OS rekka (cr.lp>rekka) will beat out some of his options too. Don’t forget we have the cl.mp>cw combo at our disposal, that alone makes this matchup in fei’s favor. Be sure to condition, and use tenshin which will lead into the death combo. With his high/low mixups and his ability to frame trap very well try and stay out of his face. If you get knocked down, be careful to not backdash to much, OS U2 is a bitch lol. Use FA too, but be careful his ducks are fast enough that he can react to this and break glass. You can also bait those using FA but that’s all risk vs reward, and your personal play style.

There’s one thing I have a lot of trouble with in the DJ matchup. His forward jump like kick that changes his arc to quickly fall. It’s too hard for me to input flame kick quick enough to counter this on reaction. This attack seems to have good priority. Do any specific normals counter this? The main method I’ve been using to fight this move is to simply not stay in the range where this move hits.
