Don’t get it on those platforms if you can. 60 FPS feels too good in this game, I wouldn’t want to play it @ 30 FPS if you can avoid it by getting the PS4/PC/Xbone versions.
Wait where was the customizable part? Is that a item I missed? Anyway about 90% compeletion still missing some random stuff somewhere… I assume in some nooks and crannys im forgetting. Whatever the case now that ive finished the game. Im actually a lil’ more meh on it. Missing some stuff and I think it has some issues. Still fun, but for me its one of t
I wonder if it wll let you get straight up Hien as in the two cyphers and being ably to throw them. I got the original 2 went it first came out on PSX JP and my buddy ended up playing it more than I did just so he could use Hien and try and speed run everything. He fell in love with the Char. so I got to let him know about that costume sswitch he’ll lose his shit!
Customization is on the select menu. You unlock the costumes by finding other Striders.
Steam version is the one to get but fair warning. The game will only run on DX11 hardware and 64 bit OS. If don’t have those then you’re out of luck. There’s a full screen bug that puts the resolution at 480p ignoring the in-game setting res and the one set with graphics card control panel. This is an uncommon bug. I personally am not affected by this problem. There is no way to rebind keys in-game. If you want to rebind keys then you’ll have to go into game dictionary and alter the binds_pc.cfg file.
Some of the original Strider developers had a part in this game. You honestly think this game would have turned out the way it did if it was all Double Helix?
hrmm im not seeing the customization. Maybe im blind do I need all the other costumes to do it? I still am missing one costume as it is. I have 95% of the game completed now but fuck if I know where the stuff is im missing. Im wondering if i missing something from the part where the laser beams are chasing you, I tried for about a half hour and I just cant get back to that specific area of the stage anymore and it doesnt look full to me on my map so im wondering if maybe something was there and im screwed now.
Anyway picked this up this morning for PS3 and played for like 4 or 5 hours. It’s tight. Really really like it. Just took out the boss past the resistance village. The boss fights are great, I dunno why they are being called cheap. Even the 3 on 1 Pooh fights where great. I started on hard, game feels legitimately tough to me. Not super hard, but i die from time to time. Only area I haven’t liked is the Acid Sewers area. Those little acid spitting shell crab things can ead lol.
OK I got the last fallen strider. Now im at 96%. Now normally when you beat a level 100% the 100% shows up in red. But now a couple of my areas are at 96%, and the rest at 100%. Problem is they are all red now as if ive totally completed everything. Can I assume this means that there is stuff that you only have one shot at when you first start the game and then cant go back?
Don’t think so, I started backtracking once I got the Magnetic Cypher and knocked off all the collectible achievements apart from the Large canister one and was able to access every area in the game for map clearance. Some you just have to get to from weird directions. Maybe it turns red if you gotten all collectibles but still have some nooks and crannies to uncover?
No actually, the reviewer said it was too easy. GT has actually got slightly better since Shane is gone with his 10 review score for everything named Madden/COD.
The reviewer way too harsh on the game. He made some valid points with the lack of environmental variety. He was too hung up on the fact it wasn’t a fully on metroidvania game. It’s an arcade game first and metroidvania second.
