Strider 2014 Available Now

Played the game up untill the carbon reactor yesterday. I think I played maybe a couple hours of the game. Said ive completely 24% of the game. I know some people said the game is easy, but then bosses are a huge step up but I havnt come close to dying once besides the first 5 mins into the game when I was learning how to play. Granted im trying to explore and really enjoy the game. So I ended up already having almost all the health upgrades it seems as is.

Heres my question since this is where I actually couldnt figure it out. How do I get past those 3 trash compactor things in the carbon area that are smashing really fast? I assume I have to slide but after getting hit by it 20 times I just said fuck it and stopped. I can see theres a item there but maybe its a non essential one? Or maybe I just suck at sliding? Or am I suppose to have another item to stop though trash compactors?

Also the sludge area said your suppose to stop the 3 water tanks. I beat the area while only stopping 2. And I cant see anywhere else on the map that is even open for me to go. @_@ Is there some strange way to beat the third that im missing?

As for bugs I have experiences a couple of times going higher than the map allows you, and the game bugging out for a few seconds and then sending me flying straight down to the ground lol

Played the demo, must buy. Loved that they put in the NES Kazakh music.

Naw, what I mean is that I could use additional software like xpadder or x360ce to re-map the inputs myself.

I feel like I’ve missed a shitload of upgrades, but fuck it I’m just gonna keep going.

Just got the game downloaded. The game is lacking in PC-specific options. 1080p is the highest resolution so game won’t be kind to guys with higher res monitors. Can’t rebind keys in-game so that blows

I have no idea if I’m skipping over important stuff, since I’m usually lost most of the time.

More issues with the PC version. Game won’t run at native resolution if played on full version. It will be on 480p regardless of setting

Try turning off scaling in the graphics card control panel. Someone mentioned it in the Steam forums & it worked for at least one person.

I’m liking it. Starting on hard mode it is a little frustrating because it seems like it is almost impossible to get hit plus with having such low health I’m getting murdered. I got my stick to work with the game and it feels pretty good, I need to rework some of the keys and I should be good to go. Is it me or does the music seem kind of low?

Music is pretty low. When I played the demo I had sfx volume pretty low and music still didnt sound loud.

Glad people are lking it. Im gonna place my order tonight probably for the disc

What’s funny is I’ve seen the “You can use the Panther Option to fast travel to different areas of the city” probably half a dozen times in the hint/loading screen in about 3 hours of play.

Gameplay is great though, like Strider 2 with really polished controls. Only disappointment so far is the Graviton boss, can’t figure out if there’s way to have it’s gravity field grab you and spin you around the sphere like it did in Strider. Always liked that.

Has Beacon chase time trial and Survival modes for unlock, haven’t run across any Fallen Striders yet, but there’s 10 or more alternate costumes to unlock…wonder if that ties together.

Got both X1 and 360 version, identical games and achievements.

After finally getting the game to work with d-pad movement I played for an hour. I’m liking it so far. Within one hour of play I found half the health upgrades. It sucks that every locale I’ve been to has the same look. It’s a little confusing while a place that’s suppose be a new area looks exactly like the old one.

Can’t rebind keys? What are the defaults?

Lmao let’s put fast travel in super metroid hur durr

Does Strider have the PS4 PlayGo feature? Been downloading it and haven’t seen the option for it

I REALLY want to play this right now

^ Streamed some of the game if you guys want to check it out.

I got BBQ’d at the beginning, but after I figured out the specific enemy matchup it was straight GGPO. I’m also playing it with a keyboard(lol) though I’m decent playing 2D games on a KB, because I used to emulate older 2D games and would play them with a KB before I hooked a pad up to my PC.

Also, if people don’t know, PS4/PC/XBONE versions=60 FPS, PS3/360 versions=30FPS.

So Strider has zero DLC and all content is included with your purchase of the game. How it always should be.

Will there be a disc version for 360/ps3 in the future?

PS3 version will have a disc release in Japan that will include the first two games.

You gotta import it
