I have some problems in getting reversals on sfzero.
While on the other games (capcom titles or neogeo ones) I have a decent success rate, on sfzero1 they come out very rarely.
How come?

I think it’s because
Interesting.
U stupid, it’s because
No one in this forum has played the game?
No one in this forum is psychic.
I encounter the same problem when playing not only A1 but also A2.
Maybe the reversal window is more strict? I can do reversals pretty easy in GG but have trouble with them in A2.
I have the same problem but in A2. I don’t think it’s because the reversal window is too strict because ST’s reversal window is 1 frame and I can reversal pretty consistently in that game.
The Alphas 1 and 2 always seemed clunky and slow to me but for reversal DPs for hitting on the first frame you should use strong (mid punch), not light punch or hard. The game sort of feels funny compared to ST for example because when your opponent throws a projectile, sometimes you can still walk backwards in Alphas. I don’t remember if it’s the same in A1/2, I imagine it is, but anyways up to ST, doing a wake-up reversal DP would skip the last frames of your getting-up animation (ie you are interuppting the last frames of the getting-up that then goes straight into the first frame of a DP).
But to answer your question I don’t think there’s really much difference in the actual timing, I guess it just looks a little different. Try out Execution Aid in A1/2 (on PC), and compare the timing for DP’s in other games. One way to confirm it’s the same timing is to use Execution Aid to record yourself doing a DP in a game you’re more familiar with or expect the timing of reversals to come out as you expect (ST, 3S etc.) and then play it back while you play A1/2 and try to mimic it exactly, looking at the Score window and listening for the “shoryuken” sound. Yep, it’s this.
Fuck off everyone else; you’re wrong.
i can reversal dp motions in ST without trouble, but i can’t reversal with charge moves
in A2 i can reversal with charge moves, but dp’s are so weird to time… can’t get acustomed with the wakeup animation
^ haha hey Aquashark nice av dude
I knew you were going to post this. :looney:
Man, his sucks, it’s off center!
If yours didn’t have that DEADFROG right beside it, it would be pretty good.
Maybe it’s centered on the hitbox!!!
… and BTW FYI Wheezy, my name is the best part of my avatar! My name is the best part of every page it appears on! Check out my grill piece, dawg! (diamonds sparkling in mah mouf) *:grrr: *
Anybody knows if old street fighers like champion edition have reversals? someone told me they dont, if not then u can do mindless throw loops in those games? :S
In alpha2 at least, ti’s because Every time you do a move attempt at a time That it can’t come out THE whole buffer is emptied. Therefore, you dont get the negative egde of you use one button like in St. Therefore ti’s twice as hard. Pianoing is completely impossible. So reversals in A2 have a true 1 frame window which Cannot be altered with input tricks at all
WW has reversal throws and CE has throws and specials.
Vsav is the same way. I’ve heard this applies to every Capcom game that came out after ST all the way up to A2 or A3.
Yeah vsav is the same way. Alpha 1 and 2 too. But not Alpha 3. Alpha 3 is like ST I’m pretty sure (but not 100%)
