Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade Fightstick V.S

Just ordered mine with the ECO60 discount. Can’t wait!

Just picked up my VS stick at CEO this weekend.

Love the stick, and completely hate the art. Thinking about just doing a black plexi with some semitsu buttons.

Only question I have, where is everyone getting these colored screws?

http://www.godlikecontrols.com/

They need a 2.5mm hex key, different from the 3mm defaults.

What do I need to know to swap in a LS-40-01, other than reverse the pin connector?

Does anyone know if the large screws at the base (Botom) of the SFxT Arcade Fightstick VS Edition can be purchased at a home hardware store? Mine came with one of those screws missing out of the box and I need a replacement to plug that thing up.

Does the top panel’s screw are the same of TE?and all screw around are the same size?

For universal mounts (that means all Mad Catz joysticks and most Hori pro-level joysticks), you need to buy the Seimitsu SS Mounting Plate made for the LS-32/-40 series joysticks.

Unfortunately, the LS-40-01 ships with the (RE) flat mounting plate that won’t work with any mass-run joystick except the Hori Fighting Edge; you can use the flat mounting plate with countersunk screws/flush rivets/modded faceplates IF you’re doing mods of non-universal joysticks (Tekken 5, Hori “licensed anime” HRAPs, etc.)

With all the Mad Catz TE’s, MadCatz SE/Tatsunoko FightStick/Brawl Stick, FightStick VS, FightStick Pro, all Hori HRAP SA/SE models, and Hori Nori-style case (Soul Calibur V-style) joysticks, the SS Mounting Plate is what’s needed for both the LS-40-01 and LS-32-01. Of course, Seimitsu makes you buy that mounting plate specially for the LS-40-01 when it’s their most commonly used Mounting Plate and comes standard with the stock LS-32-01!

(I think Seimitsu could foster some good will and sell a couple more LS-40-01’s if they just made the SS Mounting Plate standard with that joystick as well as the LS-32-01!)

I really want to grab this stick. Grab it real hard.
Then rip off the top just to replace it with a giant piece of black plexi.

I’m waiting impatiently for my black plexis.

They are pretty nice!

I heard there is slight flexing around the screw mounts. That turns me off.

In the normal stick, or specifically the black plexi?

Also, I think I can imagine what “flexing” is, but I’m not 100%.

today i got my fightstick here from this thread. I am playing SSF4 AE

Question:
everything works fine, apart that the green and blue button sometimes does not react on input. If I am not pressing it on SUPERFAST intervals, every input comes through on the screen (character does the action).

If I spam it like crazy, not every input comes through, it stops for a splitsecond(because did not receive input obviously) and then it reacts again(character does the action)

is this normal or are these two buttons faulty?

this happens only with green and blue button, which are the “fast attacks”

Is it worth buying this if I have a TE S stick? I tried one, and it feels nice, slightly more awkward since my TE S is custom and has a plate over the art work (so I rest my arms on it when I’m playing). There’s nothing wrong my stick, it feels slightly looser since I’ve been letting lazy fucks at my local use it, but it’s in perfect condition, looks unused even after 2 years, nothing that opening it up and tightening things won’t fix.

I think it is always a good idea to at least have one extra. But I also have too many sticks, so who knows?

The black plexi bends down and in towards the body of the stick where the screws are. It warps the reflection and this imperfection bothers me. That being said, several people have mentioned that it isn’t noticeable in low light.

Hmm. I want to say that happens in the normal stick plexi too, but the art might make that less noticeable. Once I get my black ones, I guess I’ll know for sure!

Very true, the artwork usually draws the attention away. and do let me know, please. Oh and what thickness is the black plexi? 1/16 ?

Yeah, 1/16".

Hah, maybe I’ll get it, or think about it. Was looking at Qanba’s too.

My two sticks arrived with the link kit. The wife and I played a few rounds on MvC3. Looks like its time to build another cab with these.
