Lol, it’s unavoidable considering we both offer similar services, with our own specialties.
Time to quit practicing links and get to work!
hey art, i got a question. which plexi thickness would be best for the V.S. stick? 1/16" or 1/8"?
If we’re talking specifically for artwork sandwiching, then 1/16" will be better all around. I recently found a source for 1/32" impact modified acrylic, as well as 1/32" cast acrylic, but I’ve yet to receive the material to test how well it will laser cut and perform. So until I get the results, I can’t really go into much more detail. If all goes well, I can also offer the 1/32" option in the near future, in which acrylic will be a lot more crystal clear and less prone to scratches than polycarbonate (Lexan). =)
If we’re talking about Letter cutouts for sides or back panel, then 1/8" will give more depth to the cutouts (as well as more color options).
For etches, Top is still better with 1/16", but the sides and back panel is pure preference for how much you want it to stand out.
1/8" will fit pretty snug within the Side panels. However… I found that the screws are too short to go through 1/8" material… it won’t even reach the threads. I am in the process of looking to provide longer screws for those who wish to deck things out with 1/8" plexi on the sides. So just a heads up.
alright, awesome! thanks a lot!

Hey Art,
Any ETA for when we can expect to be able to order top plexis, side/front name plates, etc? Very excited and impressed with your work as always! Now I better get back to doing my top panel artwork!
so much do these things weigh? i asked markman a long time ago on neogaf but no reply
Are all of the side bolts the same size as TE top panel bolts?
Seven pounds.
Same as the ones in SOULCALIBUR V Soul Edition.
Thanks jdm714. You’re like a cuter version of my secretary :3
Also! Damn I’m at Final Round right now and I did not expect to sell out of all of our V.S. sticks that we brought (IN ONE HOUR!).
Hi guys, quick question: is the PS3 version PC compatible? I know the X360 one always is, but I only own a PS3 and a PC, and I play on both.
I have a Madcatz TE PS3 first gen and I had several issues trying to make it work on my PC, and I eventually had to buy a USB PCI-E Card. Is this gonna be the same shenanigans with the FightStick V.S? I know I could always dual mod it, but it’d be cool if it worked out of the box.
Thanks
Works.
Do you happen to know the size?
Same as other TE; M4 x 12mm.
Thanks for the quick answer, that’s great news! Gonna buy one right now
hey art, how do i use your fonts? i wanna use the dist inking for a template
Does anyone happen to know what the best dual modding method is for this stick (Xbox 360)? Or too soon to tell? Thanks good sirs!
And MarkMan, godlike stick as always. Thank you for all your hard work!
Like any Xbox 360 Mad Catz, use ChImp SMD or TE Kitty with some modification.
Or wait for TE Kitty with V.S. Edition Harness.
What do you guys think of these corner plexi’s and artwork?

Figured I’d add them in the bundle with the sides and back piece to make it easier for everyone.

The Side and Back template has been updated with the 4 corner pieces. If you’ve downloaded the initial template from a couple days ago without the 4 corner pieces, please download it again for the updated corner pieces.
And just for fun, I tried custom silhouette cutouts to see how they look. This is using mirror acrylic. I will play around to see if there’s some interest for something like this. I guess if there’s any interest, shoot me a message so I get an idea if it’s something I should try and setup.

Thanks! I’m aiming for probably at least a week or two. I still have to prep things up on the website and setup additional options. Also got to get some new materials and supplies. These panels are larger than the normal shipping boxes I use, so I have to get larger boxes. Overall, quite a bit to do before having it on the site. I will go as quickly as I can. =)
It’s been a long while since I’ve found those fonts, so I can’t remember exactly where I got them. I’m sure if you googled “dist inking font”, you should be able to find a free download somewhere. Oh, and if you’ve been working on the Side and Back templates, please download that template again. It’s been updated with corner pieces and the canvas size and positioning has been slightly changed. Sorry if it inconveniences your current progress.
