I see the NamcoBandai crossover as the obligatory 3D game and Capcom games simply overpowering the competition. The EVO staff probably dream of having a version of SF II,III and IV.
Tentative for EVO 2011:
SSFIV
MvC3
HDR
Tekken 6 BR
MK 9 (they will give it a chance and I expect the game to sell at least 2 million copies, even if the game is not serious or competitive)
KOF XIII or Blazblu CS
Characters in every Tekken
Heihachi Mishima
Kuma
King
Nina Williams (already in SFXT)
Paul Phoenix
Yoshimitsu
Law (Marshall in most, Forest in 3/tag)
Capcom would do Tekken players wrong to not include the characters above. They are the world warriors of Tekken.
Characters that have been in every Tekken except one
Kazuya Mishima (already in SFXT)
Jack
Anna Williams
Lee Chaolan
Lei Wulong
Characters that have been in every Tekken except two.
Ling Xiaoyu
Panda
Wang Jinrei
Bryan Fury
Eddy Gordo
Hwoarang
Jin Kazama
Julia Chang
Ganryu
The characters in the above two lists are very close to need to have characters for it to feel like Tekken. Capcom will have to be careful who they might eliminate if 21 characters plus some of the newer characters is too much.
I know what you were listing there, but if any real version of this list has Jin Kazama as third tier (possible) character and Kuma as a lock to be in. I’m going to have to demand drug testing. :looney:
2 things to note:
Game will come out in about 2 years (could be more or less).
No more big announcements until Captivate (which if you recall, is when MvC3 was announced this year).
You’ve got Kuma and Panda listed separately, when they should really be listed as one character. Also, if you assume Julia and Michelle Chang as one character, that puts them into the “all but one game” category. Since the only game both were featured in was TTT, I think that’s a safe combining.
Possibly. But maybe they can coexist. Like 3s and CvS2 back in the day. Both were quite popular in Evo and had big scenes generally, but one outlasted the other.
Problem with that theory is that 3S and CvS2 ran on different engines and pretty much played completely differently. SSFIV and SFXT run on the same engine it seems, and, at least as of now, play very similarly it seems. It’d be redundant to play them both, so short of getting in on fan votes, only one can go. I imagine the same conflict happening with TXSF and Tekken 6/7.
