Aside from animation/presentation, nobody has any evidence to think Ultras are in SFxT. Two years to drop and people are bitching already.
Tag Supers are most likely in, so IMO I’d rather they not be Ultras and instead simply be more expensive supers.
I’m curious as to what the final roster will consist of. SSF4 will soon have 36+ chars, and tekken 6 already has a bunch. Do you think there will be a lot of chars like 40-60 or will they stay with the more classic characters, and keep it around 20-30? I’d like to make a guess and say we’ll see almost all of the SF2 cast, and classic tekken chars from tekken 1-2. I wonder if anna or baek will make the cut, since their styles are very similar to nina/hwoarang. I’d like to see Miguel, Lili, Lars, Steve, and Raven(good Guy rival). I also would like to see a Rufus vs. Bob rivalry!
itll probably top out in the high 30’s, with the really popular characters getting top spots with a few lesser characters thrown in for spice. i totally want to see a Hakan/Elf team vs King/Marduk. that shit would be epic!! also Zangief v Kuma!!
If I was a betting man I would say the entire cast of SF2 CE is a pretty safe bet (maybe sans vega and balrog) along with one or two SF3 and alpha dudes. And pretty much the cast of tekken 3 with like three or four characters from the later games.
Pretty sure something will be made out of the Satui no Hadou/Devil Gene counterparts. Devil Ryu would be cool. Also, Elena vs Christie!
Also, if Gen ever makes in into the Namco version, I’ll be pretty hyped. Finally a good chance to spice both of his stances and gameplan.
And Kunimitsu > Raven. Any day, any time.
Well lets all hope its not a bar system that actually rewards a player for losing lol.
Ultras sure as Hell aren’t blue shells, people. There’s more to it than that.
I think they’re gonna keep all classic type characters with newer characters being downloadable
you heard it here first
4r5 is genius. Evo. Get hype…=/
HD Remix should be axed ASAP. KoF XIII, Continuum Shift, Melty Blood and Arcana Heart 3 are all better titles for a main game than this shit.
yeah and I highly doubt these 2 games will be available before evo next year.
Evo 2k11 would still be more like:
SSFIV
MvC3
Tekken 6
TvC
SFIII: 3rd Strike
and (probably not, but I can dream) UMK3 :]
I like that capcom and namco are making their own versions of the game. If there will be a new one, I would like to see the next Capcom vs Snk / Snk vs Capcom using their new engines as well, mainly because seeing the street fighter cast back with great 2d sprites would be pretty awsome.
I’m most interested in TxSF at the moment. How are they gonna do that?
If they’re gonna do it in 3D (and I think they will) they’re gonna be up for a challenge.
Sort of an SFEX, 2D gameplay and 3D graphics?
If graphics will be the only difference between TxSF and SFxT then it’s kinda useless to make two games.
So how to translate a 2D game to 3D?
Sidestepping, for example, could diminish pressure of long-distance attacks of certain characters.
And in Tekken, such distance is quite hard to achieve anyway, so Ryu with no Hadoken? (A 3D fighter where you could jump like 2D games to create distance would be something funny to see though, not even considering wall jumpers like Vega, Chun Li or Rolento).
I’m curious how they’re gonna solve this at Namco.
There are projectiles in Tekken. And they hit people. And say goodbye to big jumps for SF characters in TxSF.

I had no idea Paul and Marshall were in Urban Reign :o
I’m guessing they were unlockable or something?
Damn good party game :3
Hardly (if at all) comparable to hadoukens, Sonic booms etc.
Besides, I’m not talking about hitting people but about creating distance with them and bating by jumping over them.
But thank you for enlightening me on the long jumps. That way I don’t have to read my own post.
Honestly how does this prove your point.
