So he’s wrong about things you can actively time to verify? Yeah no. The game takes a FUCK LONG time to do anything. Hell, I’ve compared it side to side against MKX and you can actually find a match, pick a character and start playing before SFV can do the same EXCEPT SFV never loads the character select screen because of their stupid-ass decision to skip that entire process (probably because they knew their infrastructure was garbage and it would tack on another 50 seconds before and after loading character select).
I was timing matches two days ago and I spent, on average, TWICE as long looking for & loading matches than actually playing. That is absurd. On top of that, the architecture is so stupid that I can’t even choose to rematch CASUAL players, an option that would let you play matches faster without having to get vomited back into the regular game mode. But…nope! Capcom can’t figure out how to offer rematch apparently. It makes sense though because the competitive community is well known for not wanting to rematch people that give them good fights. Right? Brilliant decision, Capcom.
You keep telling people to return the game? That isn’t going to help its longevity any. They’re a consumer. They bought a product with A LOT of problems and, as long as they keep it legitimate, it’s their right to complain and point out broken shit. Unfortunately, SFV has a lot of broken and downright stupid shit in it. That is just a fact. An OBJECTIVE fact when compared to its competition, other games all-together, and just plain common sense.
Telling people to wait for the first patch? This game plays worse than SF4 at launch. This game had something like 30 betas. People played in those betas to help the launch go as smoothly as possible. They basically did free work for Capcom. And how does Capcom repay that sort of effort? “Oh we didn’t think about ragequitting because we’ve all suffered serious head injuries within the last 18 months. Do more of our work for us and send us videos or something…er…what were we talking about?”

These are legitimate problems, the majority of which should NOT exist at launch on a $60 game. Especially one specifically built for the PS4. How it can have WORSE loading times than multiplat games is absolutely mind-boggling…but it does.

ASW went HAM trying to fix their PC launch of XRD when things weren’t working right. Capcom is a much larger company with much better resources. They should be doing half that much work. The other stuff is worth debating but there are certain features which are important to this community and aren’t working properly.

NG1313 was apparently breast-fed by Capcom and he’s trying to tell people to trade-in the game which is one of the most damaging things a player can do to the bottom-line profit of a new game. Yea I gotta admit I’ve been playing streetfighter5 since first beta and now its getting boring quick you got to admit the game is just another beta. It seems like capcom screwed us over on this game. They should give us all 6 dlc characters for free or lower the price for fight money. The gameplay is great don’t get me wrong, I’m not a scrub, I play everyday and its annoying looking at options on screen that don’t work. They set up betas and all that and were still having online problems. Its march and where’s the updates? Oh the end of march closer to April you guys… Come on capcom , there’s not enough characters in it to keep playing it how it is barebones. I’m not a tournament player and this streetfighter5 isn’t helping me want to become one either. None of my friends even want to play it or buy it anymore due too not being able to learn and the bad reviews. Cap com needs to give us more than updates. My opinion. Love street fighter always have always will…but damn.

I just fired through 3 matches. Here’s the times…
Match 1: 2:47
Match 2: 2:43
Match 3: 1:15
Time spent between matches loading
Loading 1: 1:56
Loading 2: 2:16
Loading 3: 3:39
Match avg: 2:15
Loading avg: 2:37
So just on that quick test, I spent over 20 seconds longer WAITING TO PLAY than actually playing the game on average. Of course, this isn’t definitive or anything. Two of my matches went the full 3 rounds and the third match was over quickly in two.
Still though…what game does anyone play OTHER than SFV that has comparable play vs. wait times? I’ve NEVER run into that in a game I can think of. Hell, even if I compare the QUICKEST loading to the LONGEST match that’s still 1:56 vs 2:47. Wow. I got 50% more play time than loading. What a boon!

I just played a fourth and fifth game.
Guess what? The fifth match was the same guy I randomly got in match 1 and 2. So…in 5 matches I faced the same opponent 3 times.
Either the player base is really small or that is some CRAZY coincidence.

I just made a battle lounge and invited that guy I was playing because his Nash was quite fun to face off against and we were trading wins. Made the lounge, sent him an invite…waited. 30 seconds later? Battle lounge crashes and I get booted back to main screen.

Newsflash, I bought the Dead or Alive 5 Collector’s Edition case for 80$ dollars and it was absolutely money well spent because it made certain you actually got 60$ worth of game as well as goodies as well. This is not a 60$ game, this is a F2P level game and honestly should have went the Tekken Revolution/DOA5LRCF route to atleast make certain this black eye would never happen to it.
