Rufus - Cholesterol, heart disease, Syphilis, pestilence?
Hope all SF 3 char is back
especially Alex and bring Ken Son,Mel
maybe this game have offensive oriented like SF III
and please no Sagat in this game, pls
-
Plz no comparisons between SF2 and SF4, it may lead younger people who weren’t around in the early 90s to think that one of the greatest fighters ever conceived is similar to one of the worst fighters ever conceived. That would be a shame.
-
So SFV.
-The biggest announcement was Charlie. Though it would be very exciting to see this long absent character make his return, it is a bittersweet announcement. For this means that Guile, who is very similar to Charlie, will likely be in the game as well. That is worrisome.
-The hits looked like they had tremendous impact, more so than you see in many fighting games. Many times characters reel from being hit, but it looks very fake and like poorly done fight choreography. The movements in SF5 look very deliberate with a lot of weight behind them. It looks brutal in a good way. Honestly I loved this.
-I hope it is a bit faster, but I think because of the way it animates and the weight behind attacks it looks slower than it actually is. I don’t think it seems slower than SF4.
-The noodle hat is probably one of several (maybe many) props that could interact with the characters. It could be a way to humiliate your opponents without picking Dan, as well as making the environments seem as more than just backdrops.
mike and combofiend are both great players
but for some reason mike ( he was playing ryu ? ) missed the most easiest links with ryu
how come?
did they make the combos more difficult now because an experienced player like mike would never miss easy stuff like 2x cr LP into srk or jp HK st HP into tatsu and stuff
ryus combos kinda look like chain combos which are hella slow like sfxt which is a bad thing
but thats the alpha stage and there is tons of time to improve the gameplay
my hopes are rly high for this game!
The Demo is obviously scripted man. Plus they prob never got to touch it much so yeah they missed some combos.
That’s because Ryu’s hadouken now hits twice.
I wish someone other than Mike Ross played Ryu. No idea if guard break is Ryu specific since Mike never blocks.
New game, you’re gonna have to adjust to the pacing. This plays nothing like SF games before it.
Do not see the problem with revenge bar. Its one of those things you’re gonna have to live with in this new gen of fgs.
**I do not think you can blk in lightning mode, have not seen in gp vids. Though i could be wrong.
People are getting real butthurt that sf5 looks similar to sf4. They keep trying to bring up the fact that previous versions of SF look completely different from each other (sf1 to 2 to alpha to 3 to ex) but are ignoring the fact that each sequel had a completely different team working on them, while sf4 and sf5 are the only ones in the series to have the same team working on it.
I reallllllllly hope that noodle bowl comes off in the final version. Its funny for the first 10 seconds, then it just becomes stupid and kills the gritty tone that they’re trying to establish. Makes the game instantly more goofy than anything in SF4.
yeah it should come off if you get hit or taunt or something
The demo was certainly choreographed. It would’ve been pretty neat if they let the winner of Capcom Cup(Momochi) first dibs.
So do supers only come from revenge meter? If so they’re just better ultras. Thats pretty damn terrible if thats how it works.
Its not a terrible mechanic because ex mode powers you up and that’s more interesting IMO. Plus I think you can use a super at the end of every “ex mode”
I mean, she does her SBK and the bowl still stays on, that’s just stupid.
Oh well, it’s only an early built, so we might not even see it in the final version. I certainly wouldn’t mind it being gone.
I saw an ultra in the end of the match. Revenge meter? I thought that they are using new gameplay mechanics.
So, about the lack of chip death…
Notice how Ryu only tried to chip out with fireballs. Maybe they have a system where fireballs can’t chip out, but physical specials can.
It would make a lot of sense, considering how reversal fireballs won’t break Focus in SF4 (even reversal Ultra fireballs in most cases), and that the same team is working on 5.
They were obviously sandbagging. Do you honestly think “oh yeah we’re gonna leave it at 1-1 but it’s to be continued so stay tuned…!” happened for real
I’m not gonna lie tho, it’s still entertaining even if it’s scripted. It reminds me of my younger days when I was into pro wrestling
revenge meter has gotta go
shit is hella whack
i wish they would tell us some concrete info about the mechanics.
