Who the fuck anti-airs with hp shoryu in SFIV?
So it’s:
120 vs 130 if you hit deep or measly 50 if you dont uppercut deep.
On top of that I haven’t seen any of my uppercuts and mexican uppercuts get beaten by jump-ins so far, so that makes a huge difference too.
Go play the game and tell me again anti-airing in SFIV is better than in V.
To be honest it looks the same, it’s just the stun gauge that makes anti-airing scarier because it racks up mad fast. Damage seems kinda the same though.
It seems like they’re rotating the servers on 30 minute increments judging by the timestamps I’ve been collecting on when I could get in and when I got kicked
I finally got in like for like 10 minutes. It was like Christmas as kid. Too much fun. Got one match with Birdie by accident. Didn’t know what I was doing. Still won. Managed to get couple of Cammy matches in. Won those too. Cammy was a lot of fun.
I swear the hitboxes on Ryu’s Mexican and special uppercut are tons better against jumpers.
There’s no Sakuras/Dudleys etc. beating your mexican uppercuts clean. You can really force people to play a ground game with you, instead of being scared of getting knocked down by a jumper who kills you off okizeme setups after that.
It’s the whole system that makes this much more heavy on solid ground game than SFIV.
To be honest I’m just glad that “knockdown/vortex” meta is going to fucking die and I can enjoy Street Fighter again, because SF4 is like a kid you’re disappointed of but are inclined to love them because they’re your kid; I fucking hate how it plays and what it turned into. PRAISE THE GROUND GAME. Have you noticed that mashing and “online tactics” i.e random tatsus, mashing SRK and other dumb shit really doesn’t cut it in this game? It’s great.
I can see where you’re coming from in that the SRKs are hitting a lot cleaner, I’ve yet to see one trade if it successfully comes out.
Everyone. It also has invincible frames for ryu. And you also get to antiair into ultra.
This game is a lot like SFIV, barring not having all the defensive bullshit, thank god. That alone makes damage seems higher. Stun also seems to be double the amount.
HP shoryuken has 1 frame less invincibility on upper body and can’t be fadc’ed into ultra since SSF4 (or AE not entirely sure).
You got to fadc a deep hitting mp srk if you want to ultra, or go for an early lp srk to get an ultra 1 if it hits clean.
HP SRK is only a good option for anti-airing purposes when you see the jump coming from miles away (i.e. having a read), when you want to stuff it early and you got no ultra stocked cuz it does more damage than a single hit mp srk.
Even then you prolly better go lp srk>mp srk should do slightly more, not sure though.
