Shit is taking forever to download. Been going for almost 2 hours now and says it has 4 hours left.

Hey guys. Does anyone know if I need PS Plus to play in the Beta? I have a PS4 but haven’t had any reason to get the online just yet.
I knew this wouldn’t go smoothly. I just hope they sort it all it out in time for Thursday.

Yes, on PS4 to play online you need PS+.
No there isnt any indication. The Beta wont work till the servers r up so its impossible to tell.
However I would expect that it does require PS+
So my download magical sped up and finished in like 2 minutes. Looks like no one will be able to natively stream from the ps4. Upon starting the beta it disables the game as blocked content.
Yeah you definately wont be able to stream it from PS4. You could try using a Capture card but I have a feeling that Twitch wont allow it to be streamed

Are you able to record though?
No. All recording and streaming is disabled during blocked content. I have a capture card so I know I’ll at least be recording my own matches in case I won’t be able to stream.
Can you use blocked content with DCHP turned off?

Yes. When you are streaming a game and a blocked cutscene starts playing it still continues streaming but it places a censor over the screen and mutes the audio for your viewers. It also turns off the ps4’s internal video recording while this happens. Only the player can still see the content as it’s playing. With DCHP turned off there’s no reason to censor blocked content because then they would just be censoring and preventing the player from seeing it. So with a capture card it is possible to record/stream blocked content.
