Street Fighter V: Beta Version unofficial Feedback & report thread

I’m on the east coast in U.S. I’ll have to check that out and look at the thread. First time on these forums, so haven’t dove too deep just yet. I may be a bit leery of switching out parts and custom art, unless it’s fairly straight forward.

Can’t wait until 9PM tonight!

Supposedly if you preorder via psn you get into the beta without a code. According to this.

It actually looks like some kind of sub-surface glitter. The kind of shit you see on bowling balls XD

So the Kai is virtually identical to the vrap 5 except for the logo to the left of the stick, hmmm

What region are you in Omar? I’m in a giving mood.

Hahaha! I’m in Europe, tho  And I’m too lazy to make an American account, so the code wouldn’t have worked…

Spoiler

But yeah, you’re a jerk

Edit: You’re not a jerk - you’re a real fucking bro! But I’m in Europe

PSN preorder is full price though.

Too much thirst in the thread.

About 3-6 months solid of getting bodied, but don’t give up and you’ll never go back

With things like plinking going to hell, the transition should be even quicker

And the shortcuts are just as easy on stick as they are on pad. With the execution barrier out of the way I think you should be fine. My initial transition really only took like a month of solid play(opinionhaver, I think 6 is really stretching it).

Just make a new account if be was nice enough to go out of his way and give you a beta code. I’m sure someone else would have liked it, so the least you can do is take a few minutes for something that will end up benefiting you. Of course this is only if he actually did give you the code.

Guys anybody know how to make PS3 arcade stick work in PS4, I am downloading the beta and I want to use my PS3 arcade stick to play the game so I will really appreciate it if anyone could help me. Thanks

Not sure if this link has been shared but it breaks down what to expect during the beta later today.

I wont have a stick in time for the beta, fuuu

Whens the second phase?

TE2 are ps3 & ps4 compatible. Hori Pro v4 is nice, but just not a fan of the buttons.

Learning curve is in general a couple month affair, but depends on how much you play. You’ll have to do some training mode stuff to get basic stuff going at first. In general, the buttons will make certain stuff way easier basically instantly but stuff like movement will be where you struggle at first. Getting used to getting your directions correctly instantly without thinking about it and half-circles was the biggest pain imo.

I’m wondering in beta if you can turn off matchmaking requests and just stay in training mode practicing stuff at first. And if you can’t turn off matching, if you can disconnect from the PSN in training mode without being kicked.

Everybody’s different. He said he put in 300 hours, I gave a fair estimate based on that. And a month of solid play is roughly equivalent to 6 months of real world, I-have-a-life play. So again, everyone’s different.

Which is kinda of silly because I was playing 10 hours a week tops back then, with a similar amount of hours clocked into 3S. You still have a fair point, but I feel that 6 months is a shitload of time even if you can only muster 5 hours or something.

In fairness to me, all I really said was he’d be getting bodied for up to 6 months…after which time the stick should no longer be an excuse o:)

I would venture to say I’ll play 5 hours a week, more heavily when sfv comes out. I’ll get one soon so i get enough practice in with USFIV before they release SFV. I’m sure i’ll look like a kid playing with his feet for the first week at least trying to get the movements down.

Not sure I would want to get “bodied” for 6 months to switch to a stick, I’d like to still enjoy the game! But I think I’m on the side of a fast learner so maybe 1-2 months? Thanks for the perspective guys!

already been stated, you will be in a constant state of matchmaking for the beta, no way to stay in the training mode (unless you find some internet workaround)
