Or they picked Sourai Rengeki and turned the match into a 5-5.

Seriously, I only fought one good Yun the entire time I played 3s online and that was SF3LP. I never played any of the more famous American players because I never really went beyond intermediate play.

The best player I ever played online was KOFiend. I got the pleasure to play against him right before SF4 came out.

Capcom will absolutely nerf air legs.

A lot of times they just nerfed whatever people complained a lot about. Didn’t matter how good the characters actually were vs real players.

I’m hopeful, but I’ll believe the new balance strats when i see them.

For now I’m expecting Ryu, Ken, Chun, Nash and Necalli to get touched. It would be cool if they tested whatever changes they plan on making as soon as CPT ends in a new beta phase.

On the plus side, Zangief, FANG, and Rashid are going to get buffs.

They shouldn’t really be considering buffs / nerfs until the new meta develops after the input delay is fixed

Fix 8 frames before buffing anything and see what happens.

I want some changes.
I’m fine with Cammy how she is,just some things annoy me.

-First of all,I want my airthrow back. Airthrows have a different impact against jump-ins than DP’s. For some weird reasons people stoped to jump after I airthrowed them 2-3x with Cammy or Decapre in SFIV. I just want it back,thats all.
-Then f+hk. I want that this move works like FANGs move. When I get a CH with this slow ass move,I want my CH Combo. Right now if you get a CH,you don’t get any frameadvantage,unless you hit with the second hit only.
-Why is the cr.mk hurtbox so huge again?
-Stun and Life up to 950.

I’m normally not a Capcom hater but I really don’t believe anything they’ve said about balance intent.

I really don’t think any character is in a position where nerfs are justified at all, no character that’s perceived as top tier needs nerfing IMO. I’d like a period between January - March where they initiate a “public testing service” and continuously make adjustments to the cast and have a forum for player feedback and requests and toy with every possible path for adjustment. So essentially we do the testing as well as the standard in-house testing. At the end of March they close the public testing service and make a mock-up of the final changelist before the CPT kicks into full gear again.

The game is balanced, almost every character has a weakness that you can gameplan around. The two most frequent high tier characters (Chun & Cammy) have yet to win a Premier, both shotos have made their presence known, and the meta is still evolving.

The Japanese understand the long-term benefit of high health/stun because as the tech evolves, characters on the lower end of that scale (950 or less) eventually become weaker over time.

And as far as your comment about the IALL, it was being punished so frequently by a wide range of strategies at CEO that I’d laugh if they took it out. It’s a move with a high degree of difficulty that most casual players can’t abuse (same with TKCS from Cammy) anyway.

I can see IALL being removed, as she wasn’t intended to have that kind of pressure.
