Lol, I’ll believe this when I see someone pull out a pocket Dhalsim. Like I said earlier, he’s a character you either main, or don’t play.

Ironically the people who main him will be the ones counter picking with him.

fixed your post. I agree, FChamp will probably give up by the end of the year.

Infiltration and Xian have done it in the past.

If you’re talking about CapCup2014: Xian was a former long-time Dhalsim main.

I’d like to see footage of Infil successfully counterpicking with Sim though.

Who are you really picking that Nash doesn’t also do well against? I mean there may be matches Dhalsim does BETTER but Nash likely does decent enough not to bother. A lot of the characters Nash is mediocre (or even slightly losing IMO) are matches Dhalsim gets wrecked by, like Cammy. Meanwhile, Nash does amazing against Gief.

I honestly don’t get why you guys think Cammy wrecks Sim. She definitely beats him, but to wreck him implies it’s as bad as it was in IV.

It’s not nearly as oppressive as it was in IV. There is no threat of focus, Sim fights better up close, TKCS isn’t as strong, etc.

I don’t know why he would. It’s not like him playing a different character is going to get him past Justin and get him to consistently beat all the Cali Ken players.

Maybe it would be lower stress, but I don’t see him as that ultra elite level of talent in non Marvel.

I’m not a fan of .5 notation

I’d say sfv cammy sim is 7-3. Even with 900 health I don’t have to respect him. I play a very good sim almost daily too.

Outside of the corner u can walk back out of his drill mixup if you didn’t do a vreversal

In the corner, v reversal puts him in the corner where he dies quickly.

Honestly Cammy’s v reversal is kinda godlike

He has trouble anti airing her and even if he does, who cares? Low damage.

Teleport can be option selected.

Teleport+fb mixups are ok but they are guesses that can easily go bad for him

7-3? Nope.

Not a 7-3 in this whole game. Hell, not a 7-3 in most games.

In 100 games, you think you’d win 70 of them? Very, very unlikely.

Yes, its 7-3. At least until I see tech that helps sim keep up.

There are other 7-3s as well. Sim gief likely one.

7-3 isn’t some impossible match either. 7-3 is winnable.

Almost every sf game is littered with 7-3s. Ultra had a lot. St has a lot. 3s has them.

7-3 is extremely common

No, 7-3 isn’t common. It is commonly thrown out, but it is quite uncommon actually. In a set to 10? Yeah, it happens a lot. But once you compile huge amounts of games? Very rare.

Nobody is going to sit around and deal with a 7 3 in newer fighting games any ways. There’s way too much of a push on balance now where no one wants to be the guy fighting the 3 7. People like to work smarter now. Fighting that 3 7 was for the dark ages.

Saying that there’s barely any 7-3’s in fighting games is being unwillingly blind or just not having a lot of fighting game knowledge.

In SF4 alone there was (everything is is a 3-7 or worse, left character being the 3):

Dhalsim vs Cammy, Hakan, Ibuki, Makoto, Yun and Yang,

Zangief vs Sagat, Seth and Juri

Guile vs Elena (clear contender for worst matchup in the game), Adon (IIRC), Gouken and Seth.

Dan vs Zangief, T.Hawk, Hugo, etc… (literally can’t remember, but there sure as hell were more).

T.Hawk vs Blanka, Sagat, etc…

Fei vs Elena

Chun vs Poison

Yang vs Zangief and T.Hawk

Bison vs Guile

And many, many more.

This is literally off the top of my head.

There’s no point in having a discussion with someone who can’t even make a coherent point and is just being a blind contrarian.

I thought Infiltration used Chun to deal with Elena or something like that? How did that become a 7 3?

Chun Elena was either 5-5 or in chuns favor but this is a sfv thread

Chun poison was a 7-3. Fuck that matchup

Oh right, I was thinking about Xian counterpicking Valmaster and I started thinking about Elena but it was Valmaster who tried to pick Elena vs Xian’s Poison since Chun vs Poison was ass.

Edited the post, lol.

With the extra 3f of lag there may actually be some 7-3. For example I watched Itabashi’s Zangief vs Doyanbo’s Guile in a 20 game match it ended around 12-7 or 13-6. Itazan ate damage from so many booms trying to corner Guile he was being punished moreso than normal because reactionary input wasn’t as precise.

Well FChamp was recently quoted as saying he wants to be considered as the GOAT at FG and currently considers himself in the top 10-15 so if he wants to actually win majors in anything other than Marvel then he’ll need to adjust

Sim went 7-3 against 1/4 of the cast in USF4, with three 8-2 MU’s to boot.

You might be right. From my perspective, the match just feels easier than it did in IV when it was an easy 7-3 MU.

Why would we want to pressure players with a string of chains and traps and mixes to bait throws to make them play true defense?
Are you seriously trying to make this game exciting by letting players put their own personality into my SFV!!!
