Well, can’t have every single character in the tournament. The SFV gang was still in development when we were writing this story, and we didn’t want to just throw them in as background cameos. But you’ll see them turn up more in the future, along with elements of the game story

Claw is Fallen Balrog, Ken is Kevin Straker and Rose is her Master? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Don’t know Dhalsim and Boxer.

You got all of them right as far as I can tell. I have no idea who Boxer or Dhalsim are supposed to be either.

You got Claw & Ken. Otherwise, Edwin just made them up based on the original X-men 2099 characters. So are more similar than others.
Awesome new covers, though I thought this was ongoing? I didn’t know that issue 12 was the last one, or are you guys continuing afterwards under a new title for the next series? Also, disappointed this all ends with Ryu vs Akuma again. I was hoping to see more Alex-centric story stuff since the past issues have really started to build him up.
Agreed. I thought the series was going to be “ongoing,” not just 12 issues. I assume there is more coming, either issues or hardcovers, because we’ve barely touched on the new characters from SFV and it would seem Necalli would have a significant story. Also, it was mentioned that there is perhaps another Origins book coming. Any news on that?
I’m still a proponent of a second Akuma Origins book that takes us up to him killing Gouken and developing the Raging Demon technique and his interactions with Ryu and Ken as they train. 
So when is that swimsuit special supposed to come out?
After Unlimited #12, things continue into Street Fighter VS Darkstalkers. SFvsDS is not a “what if”, but set in our standard Street Fighter universe. Events in Unlimited will have an effect on how the crossover plays out, and the crossover will also have some lasting repercussions for several of the SF cast. Unlimited though will not be gone forever, we are just taking a break to catch up production and let the crossover get started. We’ve already got a plan for the next batch of Unlimited issues, no worries.
Also I can assure you Alex is a key figure in how everything plays out. Without spoiling much - we’ve got the most epic, so-many-fighters, “the whole world is at stake” type battle we’ve put in the comics yet… while a new level of Ryu VS Akuma also happens.
More comics coming touching on different aspects of Street Fighter. The crossover definitely won’t be the only thing we publish in 2017!

Just came across this forum. Great that fans can talk to matt as well as each other. I’m really liking unlimited especially the tournament fights. Will we get to see any of the fights in full that we got a glimpse of at any point say in the bonus stories in sf unlimed volume 2 the gathering. I’d especially like to see who won between Karen an Dudley or see Sakura’'s fight with sodom in full,the winner of Sagat v Adon and how chun li and coding did in the tournament . I’d buy a graphic novel filled with just fights from the championship tomorrow!!
