Outside was horrible. Got in line about 7pm. Waited and waited til I got under the posters. Then I saw the fire marshalls come and I thought it was gonna get closed down. Then the line that is suppose to do a loop MERGED together because people wanted to rush the door. I finally got pulled in by dogface after the organizer Margaret Cho let us in. Took my first step in at 9:10 and then my attitude completely changed. It was AMAZING inside. I got to meet/see the DJ Q, Micheal Clark Dunkan, the guy from Mean Girls. Also, got a hold of a chun li action figure that they were giving out.
Awesome. Also great to see some friends I haven’t seen in a while, ie EDMA!
when Street Fighter goes Hollywood aka when you invite the Bourgeoisie
dope event
should have had entrants do low forward into FB to gain entry
i cant stand that whole hip LA scene mixed with the hardcore SF players
but nevertheless its a necessary evil to promote the game
played Fei and Seth
won a SF statue (legally) w/o even winning 3 games
how pimp is that
shoutouts to my fellow Winner’s Circle at the SF Club who won statues as well
PS there might be some rappers attending the AI ranbats in the future if they step their game up
Well the thing is, it wasn’t their fault that people were left out. I got there at 7 PM and got in at 10:15 PM. From the looks of it, the fire marshall was preventing people from getting in, but when he walked away the bouncer dude tried to sneak as many people in as possible before he came back
shit was dope. only had to wait an hour to get in.
good seeing peeps outside of the arcade for once. beating on scrubs while tipsy is always fun. thanks capcom for making it happen. didnt win anything… o well. gen looks hard as fuck to use, which is GOOD 'cause it’ll keep keno away from him… haha. fuck rog. (I kid man… you TOO nice)
