Any word on when the arcades are getting AE2012?
Probably significantly later than every other country.
my guess 2014
Hah! Well hopefully not that long. My uneducated guess would be based purely on how it worked out with AE meaning 1 or two months down the road. By the way, is the patch going to be through the Store or will the game ping me for an update once I boot it? Anyone know?
@Trouble Brewing Dude your thread is keeping me really entertained here at work. Last two pages especially.
Are we getting anything going this weekend gents? AE2012 is out
Yeah, I dl’ed it to check it out. Sim still sucks. I’m pretty slammed until the 30th.
A very Merry Christmas to the 32 Crew! Roogle shall be joining me in London in a few days, so we’ll buy some Qingdao and toast the good health of the lot of you.
Merry Christmas to all! Good to hear from you Twmbar. Enjoy that Qingdao!

happy holidays all!
Grats man! I hope your results come out great. Happy Holiday to you too! Let’s get some games over the New Years holiday. I’m working tomorrow but from Sunday 'till Tuesday I’m golden
Sup dudes? I’ll be heading to Beijing on the 19th, staying with my wife and her fam til like June. So uh, if I can ever get some alone time hopefully I could spend it at an arcade or something. I was last in Beijing summer of '10, really only got a chance to check out the taito arcade and this sega arcade in wangfujing cause I’m only a few blocks away, but they didn’t really have much there, broken SF4 cabs and kof 97 and HF…been to Xidan a few times but never got to go to the arcade.
So I guess a few questions if you wouldn’t mind. Is KOF XIII the most popular or are they on that 98 still? Is Shuangjing still the place to be? 2012 in the arcades yet? I play mostly Hakan and Sim so yeah, that’d be nice. I’d also love to play UMVC3 sometime if possible, it’s what I play the most at the moment. Xie xie, dudes!
Hey! Well 2012 isn’t out yet and so far there aren’t any indications that it will be. I’m not sure what’s going on with Shuangjing but recently another spot in Dongzhimen has become the new place to be apparently. So far I’ve only seen 1 setup of KOFXIII in Xidan but I’m not the best to ask about KOF anyway. So far it seems that unless you want to play Tekken, arcades are not gonna be a good place to be at. We are looking to pick things up with casuals though. A few of us have UMvC3 so we’d be down for that as well.
Hey Akibana, thanks for answering my questions, sir! Hmm Dongzhimen isn’t too far away, so that shouldn’t be too bad of a ride. I’m definitely down for casuals some time, that’s mostly what I do with the people around here as there aren’t any good arcades near the area. I wonder when xuan dou zhi wang will be out, looks pretty cool, I’m sure all the KOF heads in China will be all over that. I actually don’t play KOF XIII so at least it seems like I’ll have plenty of business men and little kids to still beat my ass in 98 lol (I love how everyone tier whores in that game, it’s hilarious :D). Not really into Tekken either. I basically play AE and Marvel seriously but I’ll try anything out.
So where do most people reside? I’ll be in Dongcheng like 5-10 minutes walk from Wangfujing. Yo that bookstore is godlike, I used to go in there and read a lot.
Dongzhimen arcade went out of business like two weeks ago…
Profound…sadness…
News to me. Makes a little sense, though. There didn’t seem to be a lot of traffic both times I went there aside from the FG junkies. Too bad really. They were the cheapest arcade I’ve been to.
@Reinhart: I live in Zhichunlu quite close to the subway station. Never been to Wangfujing so I can’t comment on how far you are. I myself am playing mostly AE and Marvel too, and I think it’s gonna stay that way until SFxT is released. I was gonna pick up SCV but I’ve been having second thoughts cause there are too many damn games coming out these days. rage and happiness
Too many fighting games coming out, that’s a great problem to have. Zhichunlu looks like it’s pretty far away, but with Beijing’s kickass subway system I guess line 10 is only 2 stops from my line 1 station and then it’s a straight ride there. Speaking of kick ass transportation, I wanna ride that bullet train!
Despite the accident and the poor quality reports?! I joke…half-joke. I took a trip to Suzhou during National Day and rode the bullet train. It was pretty fun watching everything zoom by when you’re passing through densely populated locales.
