Street Fighter in Beijing?

Sweet, glad I got that store bookmarked then. Now I’ll know what to do for all the stuff I want to get.

going to be in Beijing this weekend.
Should I go to the arcade listed at the start of this thread or is there no point anymore?

Also, is it AE at the arcade to vanilla?

Thanks

Hello there! I’m not really sure what you mean by “no point anymore”. If you mean whether or not there are players there, I believe you will find plenty at the Xidan and Shuangjing arcades. AE cabs all over with maybe a Vanilla cab here and there.

Oh, forgot to say that my wife and I may be in Beijing sometime in January to visit friends living there. I would like to hit up Shuangjing while I’m there. Don’t know how I’d fare, but I had mixed results in Seoul, so at least would be interesting.

Shuangjing is where most of the strong competition is at. Definitely hit it up. You guys should also come to a casuals session. Since we’ll have you in town might as well give you the whole Beijing scene experience!

I almost suggest xidan these days personally, but both are cool. But yeah, you ought to hit up casuals for sure.

Hey, I’m down for that myself. When I know when I’ll be in the city, I’ll let you guys know for sure, and we’ll get something going, if casuals go down, I’ll pack my stick.

Both Starcade’s and my place have two sticks each so don’t trouble yourself if you are just bringing it for casuals. Unless of course that’s the only stick you play with.
@Starcade How are the ol’ sinuses?

Last time I played on Sanwa, I got ripped a new one. I’ve been playing on Korean parts mainly now, so it’s hard to switch.

I just saw your mains in your sig, looks like no matter what in AE, we’re playing mirrors.

Other games look like a different story though.

Fellow Chun player, cool! I recently picked up Cody so I’m not really that great with him yet. But I’m loving his style and I’m really looking forward to the v.2012 buffs as well. What other games do you play?

Yeah, that’s the funny part, is I’m a Chun player, but I’m switching to Cody. I can also play a little Deejay though.

I play Marvel (though not as much) and run Morrigan/Akuma/Sentinel and Taskmaster/Chun/Deadpool, Tekken 6 using Asuka, and on a less serious scale, Blazblue and Melty.

I also played the crap out of Soul Calibur 4 and have a brutal Yun-seong. Oh yeah, and Deejay in HDR. When I get home internet, I’ll be getting 3SO, have no clue who I’ll play this time. I played Chun several years ago, but I like Q and Elena enough to try them.

Ok it’s like you are stalking me on the SFIV front. I was messing around with Deejay when Super first came out. lol I dabbled with SCIV a bit, Mitsurugi is my guy, though I doubt I play the game properly. It’s so much fun though. Really looking forward to SCV. My sig says Elena for 3SO but I think I’m gonna drop her. Don’t know much about the game so I think I’ll stick to Ryu or tier-whore with Chun. I used to play T5 when I was in my home country and played Raven and Jin. I recently got the Tekken itch again so I might pick up Lily and play for laughs.

That’s quite brutal for us on the SF4 front then. I know a couple of other characters decently enough, but not as good as my Chun, Cody, or Deejay. I dabble with Rog, Honda, Blanka, and Dan. Yes, seriously Dan.

Messed around with Juri a bit. We’ll make it work.

Sinuses are still not top tier I’m afraid. I’m going back for a check up tomorrow that will most likely lead to a CT scan.

Worse case would be that I need surgery. On the plus side, as far as surgery goes, sinus surgery isn’t that bad. I guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Eh, really?

Maybe I’m thinking about a different surgery, but when I had surgery done for my sinuses, I was out of commission for 10 days with the worst pain and discomfort I’ve ever had.

Sorry to hear that, man. :frowning: Hope everything works out fine for you.
Side note: I’m currently experiencing the hell that is buying train tickets in China. Once the tickets are issued they are gone in a flash! Just…wow!

I have not experienced said hell yet. Guess I’ll find out when I come to Beijing or Shanghai.

The thing about it is that you have to know when tickets are issued for each date. For the new bullet train it’s 10 days before said date, not sure how long it is for the other trains. There are also black market people buying them but I believe the government has added some requirements in order to counter this problem. For the bullet train it’s easier to get tickets cause it’s pricey but for regular trains you better be ready to buy them when they are issued or else a couple of days later they will all be gone. My fiance is in the travel business and they have recently stopped dealing with train tickets because it’s just too much trouble.

My CT was clean as a whistle. No surgery for me.
