The lag has been that way since cvs2 on xbox.
Max: it’s based on a chess style ranking system. You only drop when you lose, and when you win the first few matches against people with higher than normal ratings, your rating will increase dramatically. It does not rise exponentially as you play more matches because usually you will be playing opponents with lower scores, so it usually goes up only slightly (maybe 2-6 points or so) as opposed to 120 points, 60 points, 30 points, etc.
scytherage: thanks for the info, but we’ve been accustomed to that since 2002 with the CVS2 days.
In CVS2, if you play the same opponent for more than 4-5 matches, it seems to lag “less” for some reason.
LOL! Yeah, you do have to do a lot of throwing with him. I like playing him though. It’s especially fun when you beat scrubs with him. They always seem to be amazed that he can be useful

I’m in Australia so that is why it was lagging. Your Zangief was really good, loved the cross ups. Wish I had picked one of my better characters.

Good games to everyone I played today! My game was a bit off today for some reason, but i still had a lot of fun. Also, rob sigley is a BEAST with his Balrog. Nice stuff man! You should hook up a mic though, so you can talk some trash when you give people the beat down :wgrin:

Yeah, I probably should throw more with dhalsim. Yesterday I was abusing the hell out of his slide noogies. For some reason today, I decided to try other gimicks. Heh…guess they didn’t work as well
BTW, with Balrog, you hit me everytime with that crossup after the throw even though I knew what was coming. Do you have to block the wrong direction to avoid those jabs or something?
Quarter mode is so much fun. Screw ‘blocking is cheap, bitch’ ranked mode, come where the people are chatting, laughing, having fun and actually complimenting each other.

I had some good matches against a guy named “Joe Everyman”. His guile is ranked fairly high, and we played ryu vs guile first and traded the first two, got a double ko on the 3rd, final round i missed a dp on a jump in, but he fucked up his combo and i got a jab dp to come out to take the win. I love old school sf, so much more active and fun.

Last night I was in a quarter match room for a while completely filled with people from SRK. It as Zeruel99, rob sigley, myself, and one other person(Decoy?). It was a lot of fun :woot:
