lol way to generalize the entire posting population of Newsarama when there’s just one guy trolling that Udoneko interview thread. All I see in that thread are positive replies, a single troll and a bunch of people feeding the troll. Hell its the internet, you should know what to expect, comic fans especially can be pretty harsh (always has been).
Way to assume. I’m generalizing it based on observations of the entire site, not that one thread. Click all the threads, the pattern is the same. “Wow great” “who cares?” “this sucks” “Im an expert blah blah blah” “never read it, not going to” “her boobs are too big” “variant covers are ruining the industry” “Marvel is evil” “DC is evil”.
I’m just focusing on the thread relevent to this site.
Just because it’s “the norm” or “expected of faceless fanboys”, doesn’t make it any less annoying.
Maybe, just maybe its because they read something “special” from Brian Michael Bendis, Alan Moore, Joe Casey, Robert Kirkman and so on?
Telling people here to go there and hype it up is desperation. That is a comic board, where people read all kinds of comics. Here is a STREET FIGHTER board. They have a better perspective than ours. Were all biased here.
How would you feel if you posted a thread about Transformers somewhere, and suddenly the board got a buncha TF fanboys hyping it up like drones (because someone posted in the official TF board “hey guys, lets all go there”)?

The interview talks about Udon possibly acquiring other Capcom licenses, what other Capcom franchises do people wish to see “Udon-ized?” I’d love to see maybe some of the below in no particular order (there’s some more obscure games I’d like to see comics of like Tech Romancer, Cyberbots, Warzard/Red Earth and Section Z along with any of the not so obscure crossover games like Marvel vs. Capcom or Capcom vs. SNK but I’ll put those in the ‘keep dreaming fanboy’ listing… :lol:)

2 of each cover it is…yep it’s expensive, but if the covers ar elike that, it deserves 2 in my collection, like most other odd covers I have 2 of (minus Fei-Loing foil which I have THREE of…don’t know where the third one came from though).
I wouldn’t want DMC “Udon-ized” just yet. I want to check out October’s DMC3 stuff, and Dreamwave only just had their first 3 issues a few months ago (maybe a year, I lost track of time).
Viewtiful Joe would be damn sweet! But only, and I mean ONLY if the art just like the game and anime.
FF, Strider and Powerstone I’d love as well. But there’s one big problem with their comics…they’re too short! It’s annoying having to wait 30 days for the next issue. If they could increase the pages (even if the price would increase by say $1) I wouldnt mind. It’s just I find the comics too short.
Did anyone notice that covers A&B of SFII#1 connect?
I agree with sano about Final fight only if it connects to the SF comic storyline other that tahat I can wait. :karate:

It’s been a while since they were released – Feb 2004, to be exact – and though there were three issues that I know of, there won’t be any more: Dreamwave has since gone bankrupt. They were very nice issues, mind, and if you can find them someplace, consider yourself quite lucky.

AFAIK, most of the copies of SF and DS at my local comic store have sold out within 1-2 weeks. And just so you know that you’ve truly arrived, I saw a copy of Eternal Challenge at a Borders! :tup:

I got the issues a while ago and all the covers (minus the sketch). I was looking forward to the 4th isses but, like you said, they went under and it wont see the light of day now.
But, I still want to see what the Manga holds for us, this October.

Udoneko - The article reminded me, wasn’t Edayan supposed to do a cover for you guys? And what about the other Capcom artists you’ve talked to, any chance of them doing anything with them in terms of the comic?
I mean it seems so odd that you have this relationship where you do stuff for their games, but we don’t physicaly see anything from CoJ in terms of the comic, ie I think it would seem like more of a mutual relationship in terms of doing art for one another.

i think the alvin’s and Ed’s cover are connected. if you look at akuma cover, at the bottom left you can see part of ryu’s knee. that would be cool if all the issues were like this. By the way anyone have a larger image of these covers? if you do please post the link i would like to take a closer look at them. thanks

SFII is really getting pumped up and I hope it meets all these expectations! I’m stoked with the Ryu/Sagat battle and what’s next for our characters. Looks great.
